Amazing wine! Another well balanced, velvety SLD wine from Pine Ridge. A bit tight at opening but within 30 minutes was showing its beautiful fruit and depth. Black cherry, ripe blueberries and bramble nose is followed by a full body dark fruit palate, a bit of black tea and a hint of cocoa. Nice acidity keeps the mouth watering during a long, subtle finish. Tannins are fine grained and well integrated.

This wine has lost a step since my last bottle. Not as balanced with a shorter more alcohol driven finish.

This is a big Barolo...more fruit driven than most old world wines. Nose of dark red fruit backed by a bit of forest floor and alcohol. Medium body palate. Black cherry, hint of cocoa, black licorice, herbs are backed by still grippy tannins and medium plus alcohol. Medium acidity and medium finish. This wine can still improve with age, hopefully gaining additional balance.

Outstanding wine! Exquisitely balanced. Dark, lightly spiced fruit balanced by fine grain tannins and medium acidity. Long, lingering finish. Top 10 for me all time.

Well integrated and drinking well. Dark red fruit, baking spice and white pepper on the nose. Boysenberry, blueberry, and cinnamon on the medium body palate. Medium + but soft grain tannins and high alcohol. Long finish.

Super quality to price ratio. More like an Anderson Valley Pinot than SLH. Bright red cherry followed by sweet cigar box on the nose. Red cherry begins the palate journey followed by baking spice and a touch of blueberry. Great balance of medium acidity and soft tannins lead to a medium plus, mouth watering finish. Bravo!

Still drinking wonderfully. Full black fruit, spice and tobacco nose. Incredibly full bouquet for its age. Smooth berry, cherry and light mocha palate, medium acidity and full body w fine grain tannins. Great balance and long finish. Love this wine!

Deep purple color belies what follows. Dark cherry and baking spice nose are pleasant enough but mid palate is lacking and finish is short of medium. Disappointing considering the strong vintage.

This wine has improved with age. Red fruit and spice on the nose. Red cherry, light tea and thyme on a medium body palate. Medium + acidity and medium tannins. Pleasant but lighter style than expected from the vintage. More claret-like. Medium plus finish.

A bit tight initially with fruit taking a back seat. After about an hour, black cherry nose comes forward with some cedar. Chewy persistent tannins and a bit of alcoholic heat diminish the finish. Not fully integrated but solid effort.

Nicely balanced wine. Nose of dried cherries, cinnamon, hint of cigar and portobello mushrooms. Dried red fruit blend with moderate tannins, and medium acidity to create a great food wine. Medium alcohol and finish. Served with chicken and sausage cacciatore. Great match.

Not my favorite style of wine. Over extracted dark fruit, jammy and nearly off dry. A better match for chocolate than dinner.

Deep purple color to the rim. Abundant black fruit (blackberry and dark cherry), spice (thyme and pepper) and hint of caramel on the nose. Complex palate of black fruit and spice backed by sweet and integrated tannins. Wine is well balanced which "hides" the 16.2% alcohol. Medium plus body and long fruit driven finish. Best wine I've ever had out of Paso.

Notes of lime and lemon citrus accompanied by wet stone on the nose. Bright palate of mango and grapefruit backed by solid but not overwhelming acidity. Clean, medium fruit driven finish. Paired with chicken breasts sautéed with capers, white wine and lemons.

Alas, so difficult to say goodbye to a wonderful friend. Many memories made while enjoying several bottles over the years. Clearly one of the best PR cabs ever made. While I agree that it's past peak, still drinking well with plenty of dried red fruit, tobacco, subtle tannin and a medium+ soft finish. Still hangs in with a filet. Thank you Pine Ridge and former wine maker Stacy Clark!

Still youthful. Jumps out of the bottle with dark cherry fruit and spices. Initial palate was bold but given 45 mins in a decanter, the wine transitioned into sensuous Margaux! Will continue to improve with age as it still has plenty of tannins and acidity balancing out bold dark berry fruit.

Big red fruit from the glass along with some spice...hint of white pepper. Black cherry, boysenberry, toasted oak and hint of vanilla on the palate. Tannins still moderate but integrated with medium plus alcohol. Long finish with the return of the white pepper nuance. Pretty big wine that can still age but drinking nicely now.

Cooler climate style cab. Complex nose leads with black cherry fruit backed up by baking spice, tobacco leaf and toasted oak. Clearly a new world style but with a close kinship to Bordeaux. The palate confirms the nose with dark cherry and dark berry fruit, along with cinnamon, thyme and a touch of coconut. The tannins, though drying on the finish, are ripe. Medium plus finish. Alcohol listed at 14.9% but the wine isn't showing heat on the finish. Very good quality wine.

We'll structured and integrated. Upon opening, fragrance of dark cherry and violets jumped from the bottle...was surprised by the vibrancy of this wine. The palate was dark cherry with cooking spice...clove and a hint of rosemary. Soft tannins and long finish of fruit and spice. Medium body. Drinking quite well now.
