wonderful sauvignon with smoothed acidity and very elegant notes of exotic fruit and chamomile. Not so different from Soave Vigneto du Lot, all in all. Big wine ant an affordable price tag. In a late evening looking the see and then back in town...

wonderful soave (garganega grapes) which in the Cru Lot reaches its best. Seductive taste where chamomile notes melt with exotic hints and some elegant oak in the background. Very interesting. In a hot late afternoon at Chiavari when the best has gone already

truly enjoyable rosè from Maurizio Zanella whose taste does not differ too much from the white version but is though pleasant and elegant. Enticing salmon-rosè color in the glass, some strawberries at the palate, boulangerie and very pleasant bubbles at the palate. Best paired with bread, anchovies and butter. In the shadowlands where crosses meet blades once again

my favourite NV in the BdB version. Stony minerality is what seduces me in this champagne which I can tell easily in a blind taste. Elegant, precise, full-bodied. Never falls short. Great (but the rosè is better in my opinion). In a windy afternoon where blades meet crosses over there celebrating 7.7th

Planeta never falls short on chardonnay. Straw yellow at the eye, typical notes of chardonnay from Sicilia, orange candies, some balanced acidity and almond notes in the aftertaste. In a hot evening at MM's with GA back to our mid-July dinners.

light orange color at the eye, at the nose shows notes of strawberries and a nice minerality. At the palate it is precise, clear and elegant but in my opinion lacks some personality. Hard to recognize this champagne in a blind tasting if compared to others (guess which...). In a hot afternoon under crosses and blades over the trees, anticipating the 7th

this bottle seems a little bit overripe compared to my previous experiences. Golden yellow at the eye, notes of orange candies, smoothed acidity almost faded away. Lost some of the great elegance this wine has showed in previous bottles, and hard to tell this is a Pinot Blanc, as it should be. But nonetheless it is enjoyable. In a warm late evening at Chiavari at the beginning of an awaited we

My best Soave (garganega grapes) so far. Pale yellow at the eye, notes of chamomile and light spices at the nose, aromatic palate with notes of almond and white flowers. Extremely elegant with its oily texture which does not show the oak, and a long aftertaste. In a hot afternoon at Chiavari after driving back from SM

delicious Virè Clessè chardonnay from the Cote Maconnaise which seduces the eye with its golden color and the nose with its notes of ripe white fruit and almond. At the palate orchard hints, citrus and notes of vanilla and honeysuckle make it truly enjoyable with a touch of high class. In a hot evening at Chiavari, running out from a busy week with little lights in the coming we

medium light yellow at the eye, wonderfully elegant nose of white flowers an almond, classy and oily texture at the palate, perfectly consistent with nose, only a little short at the first sip but then widespreading. A great chardonnay where oak is only subtly present, enhancing the essence and purity of the wonderful side of the grape. Recommended 93 (QPR is astonishing at 21 eur, European price tag)

top entry-level NV champagne made of 49% pinot noir, 40% chardonnay and 11% pinot meunier with 20% vin de reserve. golden yellow, beautiful at the eye, shows a nice nose of orchard and light spices; at the palate it's a little bit one-dimensional with faded lemon notes and light almond. All in all a little bit disappointing although elegant and fashinating. In a early-summer evening at Chiavari at the beginning of the season. 89/90

this pinot blanc seems flat and with little nuances if compared to Hofstatter San Michele : white flowers, green apple, minerality and aromatic notes are there, but with a lower scale. Every sip you wait for something which does not arrive... 88/89

wonderful deep orange color, at the nose notes of dried apricot and candies. Some excess alcool too, too much with some bitter end. Palate is consistent with nose and confirms hints of apricot, some honeysuckle and dried fruit. Still youthful, a nice sauternes which does not fly too high but is pleasant, Paired with fois gras and fig marmalade with L&L in a nice dinner. 88/89

Bright yellow colour, with oily appearance. Nose is slightly over-ripe melon and candied lemon and some oak in the background. Acidity is gone. Seems older than its age, with almond and honeysuckle predominant on citrus, faded away. Complex at the nose, falls short at the palate, All in all confirms my previous notes being Cervaro a good chardonnay but with little personality and leaving poor memory. With L&L and a well made seabass. 88/89
