Blend of CabSauv (50%) CabFranc (30%) and Merlot (20%). Dark ruby, very concentrated despite its age. At the nose, notes of cherry and ripe red fruit. Consistent palate with intense notes of blackberries and blueberries and blackcurrant and some tobacco. Thick and dense, with strong tannins still. Not so elegant but complex, a little bit overwhelming. Tertiary scents and notes still to be developed over the next years

Fantastic nose, toasted, with hints of very slight mint, smoke and other spices; at the palate red fruit that is well integrated, juicy and seductive; earthy minerality. Finesse and elegance. A very well made MSD. Paired with an Irish filet, extra virgin olive oil and Maldon salt

well made pinot noir from the low lands of Tuscany which has a sincere touch of Burgundy style, with complex aromas of little red and dark fruit basically blackberries and mostly black currant, but with an earty touch. the ensemble is pleasantly armonic and elegant, with a personal character. A nice interpretation of pinot noir. Well paired with raw tuna fish- 90

rubin color with a brown edge. At the nose amazing scents of strawberry melt with cherry and some underbrush. At the palate it is tasty, classy, elegant and notes are consistent with scents. Very enjoyable. Well paired with a grilled Irish filet. The wine is still in good shape and its drinking window should be open for another couple of years.
After a couple of days (Coravin) the second half of the bottle has a more mature and complex taxture and notes of underbrush melt with ripe red fruit a la facon de Bourgogne. At this point this VR reaches its peak and reveals to be outstanding. Only 380 bottles and 3 magnum of this cuvee

after a couple of bad-cellared bottles, this is perfect and delivers a complete sense of the pinot blanc grape with its understated elegance and its fine complexity of white (pears) and yellow (peaches) fruit with some aromatic hints. Pinot blanc is unreasonably considered a poor grape and only rarely reaches its peaks : this is the case. The drinking window is closing, so hurry up

from magnum. Great barbera by Giacomo Bologna (the "Big Jack") still alive and seductive after 20 years, with wonderful notes of red fruit melt with elegant notes of oak. Barbera over the top. Paired with a risotto with saffron and mushrooms at Anna's with 9 around the table and the magic stick in my hands. Radici has to wait

light red in the baloon, with notes of nebbiolo grapes at the nose. At the palate it is suprisingly light and apparently thin, different than expected but as the oxigenation proceeds, complexity and pleasantness arise. It's a very elegant nebbiolo from the high grounds of Valtellina with little to share with nebbiolo from the low lands of Piemonte but with a delicate and classy profile. Somehow similar to some picodentro-based wines from Valle d'Aosta (less complex). One note : overpriced

dark garnet color, still alive despite its age. At the nose, rusty notes apparently slightly corked, then faded away, with underbrush and wet leaves above all. At the palate, growing hints of tertiary scents, leather and pencil above all with some red ripe fruit left and some bitterness. Good but not outstanding and below expectaions but still fully enjoyable. Perfectly paired with an Irish filetto. Do not wait further, drink up

bought at the cellar at Vosne Romanee in 2016. Slow to open up.At the beginning it was nice at the nose but not integrated at the palate. Then finally opened up. The nose is intriguing and seductive and quite complex with tobacco and smoke. The palate is consistent, although less complex than the nose but shows hints of chocolate and wet leaves. Pretty enjoyable, balanced, juicy, and at the beginning of its drinking window. But I do not beleive will improve further.

Hard to find the right words. Wonderful. I think it will stay at the top for at least one or two years if well cellared. But if you have one, don't wait

first sip with Coravin: still dark brown, very balanced and classy taste, with ripe red fruit and a touch of oak. Wonderful. The day after, bottle opened, the color has changes, brick and taste has evolved into a long aged wine where the peculiarity of the grape has disappeared to leave room to tertiary notes. Drink up (this bottle probably not cellared correctly..). Paired at its best with boar and mushrooms. In a warm early afternoon on the Terrace with.. nosy glances.

first sip (Coravin) tells nothing in particular : nice nose but mouth is mute. Wait two days, mouth clean after running. Now the palate is wonderful, exotic taste, flowers, anice and some hydrocarbons in the back. Seductive!! Wonderful and unexpected from a vermentino from Liguria. This is really outstanding. Top paired with prosciutto crudo in a perfect ensamble. In a empty evening after an emotional saturday.

wonderful and fast bubbles, light yellow in the glass. At the nose it shows some aromatic hints and light boulangerie. The palate is consistent with aromatic notes growing as the temperature of this blanc des noirs gets higher and some minerality appears. At 12° Celsius reaches its best. Not impressive for a 2008 vintage but truly pleasant and well crafted. In a hot and sunny afternoon on the Terrace.

golden yellow, at the nose shows hints of maturity (perhaps cellaring conditions were not at best) and at the palate delivers clear notes of ripe peche, exotic fruits and a wonderful minerality, with notes of flint stone so typical of Cailleret. Citrus comes at the end of the sip, mouthfilling with a very very long aftertaste. Superb although the bottle was not in perfect conditions. In a fresh evening at Chiavari, looking ahead this promising we

Wonderful wine, big pinot noir. Oaky and rich at first, then settles to show its complexity with stunning aromatics coupled with complex layers of perfume and notes of blue and red fruits, earth, dried flowers and smoke. Silky tannins on the palate, there is richness and round mouthfeel. Then minerals and anise. Long long aftertaste. In a rainy day at LT, hopefully running towards better times. Great CdlR from an emerging winemaker. Some years still ahead
