Great value. Very acidic and austere at the moment. This was opened too early and needs more shelf time but everything seems to be there for the future. 88-89

Drinking well right now. Had at backyard bbq. Dark fruit, spice with medium body. Not too jammy like some other zins can be at times.

Ruby in color. Slightly muted nose upon opening but much more expressive after some time. Cherry, plum and currant. Needs a lot of air to shows its true potential. Overall, solid chianti.

Excellent stuff here. Dark fruit with mocha and slight garden herbs note, too. One of the best NF cab francs I've tried.

Decanted 4 hours and was still tight. It took a lot of air to open up. This shows nice promise, though. Excellent wine and great value at $17.

Drank very well after being opened 2 hours before drinking. Cherry and blueberry are up front with garden herbs poking through. Drink now or over next couple years.

Agree with previous review. Fruit is still there but it is fading a little. Tannins are completely integrated. Nice dark fruit and coffee notes with a whiff of earth. Drink now until 2016.

PNP - Medium bodied, short finish and very boozy. I couldn't get past the heat, even 3 hours after opening.

Well balanced but fruit started to fade a few hours after opening...acidity kept it alive.

Dark purple, almost black. As others noted...cigar box, big notes of black licorice, plum and blackberry. Nice mouthfeel with smooth leather like texture. Medium body and decent length and texture. Tannins are still present but well integrated. Well balanced and enjoyable.

Great nose, nice mouthfeel with rich texture, cherry cola, spice from the Syrah and medium finish. Drank well but agree with other reviewers...with minimal tannins left this is probably best sipped alone or paired with lighter fare.

Bedell always does a nice job with their merlot. Recommend decanting for an hour or two prior to drinking. Or, give another year in the cellar. Very good, but has room to improve, too. 87-88

Enjoyed this a little more than their 2010 vintage. Raspberry and blueberry with a touch of tomato leaf that cab franc often has. 88-89

What a nice wine. Agree with past reviewer, could use a couple more years for everything to integrate, but this is one to watch. Strong acidity with long finish where cab franc kicks in.

Deep purple, low acidity, mild tannins, very dark fruit, moderate finish. Overall, a little too sweet of a fruit bomb with not enough acidity to balance it out. Decanted for 2 hours and drank over the course of 3 hours. 87-88

Paumanok continues to be our favorite North Fork producer. A very nice Cab Franc with fresh, bright fruit and a good finish.

Day 1: a lot of dark fruit on the nose with moderate acidity.
Day 2-3: opened up very nicely with tannins mellowing. Still dark fruit with leather on the nose which matched the palate well. Has a mod-long finish.

Give another 1-2 years in the bottle and this will be even better.

Admittedly, sweet table wine is not my thing, but I did enjoy it with some vanilla ice cream. My girlfriend raved over this bottle though.

Tasted at the winery and also bought a bottle. This is the 2009 Lot # 2 blend variety - 40% cabernet franc, 40% merlot and 20% cabernet sauvignon. Smooth and would buy again.

Not too much to brag about here, but not awful either. A simple wine lacking structure with very slight fruit, some strawberry, on the tongue. As mentioned, a bit watery as well. Tasted some pepper on the finish.

My girlfriend and I liked this wine a lot. It has a full body with tastes of peach, apricot and cream. The finish was sweet, crisp and clean. At $29 it's a little pricey, but will buy another bottle next time I'm on the north fork of LI. Recommended.

Had with fresh linguine, meatballs and sweet sausage. A great medium bodied wine that opened up nicely over the course of a few hours. This has nice fruity flavor, mostly tasted cherry, and strong tannins to hold for another 3-5 years. But, definitely in a nice place....open and enjoy.
