Many of the notes say this was past its prime, but I don't agree (it was a magnum though). Took about 30 min to open up. Great value.

The right pairing really changed this wine. Served with a grilled clam recipe that had a fair amount of Lemon. Paired perfectly with the wine!

This wine is getting much better with time. I decanted it and poured right away. For the first 15 min the wine seemed nearly undrinkable, but quickly changed. Lovely dark fruits and oak (not over powering to me as some have said).

I'm a big fan of their whites. This one got a bit cold and wasn't much when I poured it. Warmed up nicely with a strong Lemon Zest. Temp seemed a huge factor for this wine. Too cold almost like water, too warm almost a lemon syrup.

Very nice but not as crisp as other SB's I've had. I prefer more mineral in taste. This was very round & smooth.

My host decanted this wine without asking. On smell, I thought it had fallen apart. Really no nose at all. Smelled like water!

But, one taste and the wine was classic Doug! Robust, blackberry and pepper. Shame his accountant said he can't make cabs anymore!!!
