P&P for Xmas dinner. Needed a lighter wine for my wife. She and guests loved it.

Should have decanted. Took about 45 min to open up. Drinking much better than last year.

Many of the notes say this was past its prime, but I don't agree (it was a magnum though). Took about 30 min to open up. Great value.

Lovely wine. Strong tannins. Needed another 3-6 hours out.

Beautiful wine. Even though the drinking window says before 2011, it drank great. Decanted about an hour before serving.

The right pairing really changed this wine. Served with a grilled clam recipe that had a fair amount of Lemon. Paired perfectly with the wine!

Wine is probably better than the 89 I've given it. I paired poorly. Served with Sea Bass and the Flavors just didn't fit.

This wine is getting much better with time. I decanted it and poured right away. For the first 15 min the wine seemed nearly undrinkable, but quickly changed. Lovely dark fruits and oak (not over powering to me as some have said).

I'm a big fan of their whites. This one got a bit cold and wasn't much when I poured it. Warmed up nicely with a strong Lemon Zest. Temp seemed a huge factor for this wine. Too cold almost like water, too warm almost a lemon syrup.

Very nice but not as crisp as other SB's I've had. I prefer more mineral in taste. This was very round & smooth.

Wonderful Cab. Needed decanting. I made the mistake of P&P. Dark garnet color. Strong Cherry.

Mellow, but not too simple. A good wine, but I'd start drinking now.

Smooth drinking. Very simple. One of my dinner guests described it as good grape juice. Past it's prime.

My host decanted this wine without asking. On smell, I thought it had fallen apart. Really no nose at all. Smelled like water!

But, one taste and the wine was classic Doug! Robust, blackberry and pepper. Shame his accountant said he can't make cabs anymore!!!

Has mellowed well with age. Still great and spicy. Served with steak tacos and was a perfect paring!

Plummy, long finish. Paired beautifully with smoked duck breast bruschetta, Jamon Iberico de Bellota and Sausage of wild Boar.

Lovely wine. High amounts of sediment throughout. Should have pulled the bottle in advance of serving. Went great with our aged NY Strips.

Had this Magnum and served at a party. Huge hit and well received. Complex, and deep.
