Red
2016 Venge Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Silencieux Napa Valley
Deep black thick wine. Blackberry liquor and a sort of umami quality that I can't exactly pin down but find very pleasant. Great QPR.

2/2/21, 7:19 AM - Mark, I face the same dilemma on the daily. Trying to wait for the weekend or some celebratory reason to rationalize opening up a bottle on a Tuesday.

Red
2015 Venge Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Family Reserve Oakville
So much dark fruit, This one has years to go.

9/28/20, 5:48 AM - I woul dhold thisone another 2 years. Venges, in my opinion, are approachable young but I think this wine will get better over the next 2 to 3 years and has many years of good drinking afterwards.

9/29/20, 4:54 AM - I think the 14 Bone ash is drinking well now but would hold on the 15, 16 and 17. I found the 17 cabs to be disappointing. The 17 Zins were good.

Red
2014 Hall Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain
Wow! Weighty, deep dark wine. Blackberry and other dark fruits. Leather, spices (not pepper but something east asian?). Seamless transition from front to mid palate and long awesome finish. This wine has come along way in the last two years.
