This was a rather brilliant wine. Sweet delicate red fruits, strong earthy and light herbal hints, great acidity with light tannins for structure. Low alcohol and easy to drink. Went great with lighter fare. Really, really enjoyed this wine.

no idea what the guy below was drinking.

Slight seepage, but clean on opening. Strong piney nose with some earth and red fruits.. Really strong acidity.

After some time, this opened up. The pine became more subtle mint, earthy notes, nuttiness, light red fruit, light tannic structure and solid acidty. Just a really elegant wine.

Still going strong. This needs about 2 hours of air to be best. A touch stinky on the nose along with the strong red fruit. Great glou glou red fruit, but good structure and acid. Just a joyful wine to drink!

This was a brilliant wine. Pretty light colored with moderate browning. Nose was all sweet red fruits, earth, some light oxidative sherry notes, a hint of green notes, a touch of heat, but it wasnt that distracting. very light bodied, sweet gordeaous red fruits, date-like fruit, some light earthy/loam, leather, warm spices (ground coriander seed?), light drying tannins, really elegant and really in my wheelhouse. Also a really nice finish. Wish I could find more of these of any vintage in the US.

Great potential here. Mostly still primary, just very light mature notes. Pretty closed on the nose. This is still really young and tight but started to soften a bit after about 4 hrs open. Tannins were a still pretty big and the fruit is still pretty monolithic. I would hold this for 10 more years before trying again. A great potential down the road once more mature notes emerge and the tannins soften.

Found this randomly on a DC wine list for a great price. Classic white burg nose, just a light hint of the start of maturity. Medium/light body with classic flavors, a hint waxy, and some light oxidative notes. Quite nice and no rush to drink.

Nice botte. A hit of VA upon opening, never really went away but decanting helped. Really big sweet fruit, some brown sugar, caramel, burnt sugar, some earthy/leathery components reminiscent of older barolo. Not rustic at all, even with the big sweet fruits, this was pretty elegant. Tannins were mostly integrated and it had a solid acidity backbone In fact, other than the level of fruit, this reminded me of modern fruity middle maturity barolos. If all the bottles are like this one, I would drink this in the next couple of years.

note, this has an Ardeaseal composite cork. I was surprised to see how advanced this bottle was.

extremely unusual wine. The guy below really nailed the notes, so I can't really add much. Really unusual fruit profile, good, acid, etc.

Drinking really well. Stinky nose, best after a quick decant and 2 hours. Great red fruit, light cola notes, mild tannins, and very early mature notes. Quite nice. No rush to drink up.

Really drinking well. Best after 3 hours in the decanter. Great mature fruit, some sweet light red fruits, mostly resolved tannins, mushroom, earth, leather good acidity. A really complete wine, maybe just a hint of VA when opened and a touch of heat that never goes away are the only negatives.

This finally came around over the last couple months. Still acidic, but it has a much deeper and more intense fruit profile with some light sweetness to balance it out. Quite nice. This should hold for a while.

Opened this as it was leaking a touch. Freaking brilliant. Started out a bit lean, but really opened up and kept getting better over 4 hours. Pretty much everything you want in a mature burg. Great dried/oxidized fruit, mint, light spice, good acidity, light mushroom, still some tannic stucture, and a strong brown sugar note. Wish every burg was as good. Weirdly, I dont think there is any rush to drink this as a well stored (and non-leaky) bottle should last another 20+ yrs.

We felt this was doing quite well, really beautiful nose with fruit and light oxidative notes. Taste had alot of mature fruit, heavy body, with low acid (as expected) with great oxidative/sherry notes, salinity and light bitter hints. I dont see a reason to wait on this, but I dont there is any hurry. This will last a while.

A bit lighter and more mineral that any other of these I've had in the last 13 years. Not sure I love the new direction. Wasnt as good with food due to the lightness, but would be a nice apertif or porch sipper. Light cherry and strawberry on the nose, taste had light fruit, with strong mineral middle and a light bitterness on the end.

Also, kinda annoyed that they started to bottle this in a huge heavy bottle. Might need to look for a new house rose.

10 years from last bottle. still fantastic, really reminiscent of lightly mature white burg, but with more honey, herbal notes and viscosity. Great bottle. Shame its my last and I hope at some point they make this cuvee again.

Bought on release and stored in a temp/humidity controlled cellar. Still doing great, good fruit, moderate tannins, good acidity. No real mature notes, but I dont think it will get those before the fruit gets sour. good food wine. if stored correctly, no real rush to finish.

One of the bestter rieslings I've had in a while. really petrol and grape nose. Intense fruit, dry obviously, with strong acidity and a really stony/minerally middle. Just a hint of herbal in the finish. An all around excellent bottle of wine. Drinking really well, but no rush. Over 3 hours, the last bit was the best, so maybe decant?

This is a really great QPR glou glou food wine. 3rd bottle of 6. Just great with any food you throw at it. Pizza, pasta, calzone.... and any other red meat dishes that arent too heavy. Great fruit, good acidity, and solid tannic (but not too tannnic spine). really in the zone.

This wine needs a solid 2 hours air. A bit tight and linear when first opened with a bit too much sourness. After 2 hours, really great sweet fruits, vanilla, pear, and apricot came out with a distinct difference in acidity perception. It really gained weight after some air and got a medium body. Really nice wine and my first wine from Mallorca. Tasty!

I was truly shocked by how good this was given its price. Very rich, alot of yeasty notes, good fruit, some savory herbal hints and very solid acidity. Crowd pleaser, will go great with alot of foods.

Very similar to my 2022 note. Perhaps drinking a little better right now. In my opinion, the best match for roast chicken.

Unfortunately, this was pre-moxed. However, it was drinkable as it wasnt too far along. Had a good amount of oxidative notes which to me made it more interesting. I actually enjoyed it as it had more mature notes that I like.

really interesting wine. First of these from a Region just south of Napoli. Obviously very reminiscent of fine dry lambrusco. However, it had its own distinct personality. Serve just a little chilled as it gets a bit too drying when warmer. Slightly frizzante, strong plum, black cherry, and some earthy notes on the nose. Taste was all sweet fruit, plum, cherry, blueberry, with some very light mushroomy hint. Medium bodied, tannins were ok while cold, a bit drying when warmer. Nice crisp acidity, but not overly sour like sparkling red can get. alcohol 11.5%. Very nice, would buy again.

It would actually be interesting to put one of this away for like 3 years and see what happens.

really interesting wine. First Chinese wine with 20+yrs of age. At first, the nose was really vinegary and funky. This blew off and the nose was really similar to a very herbal Loire cab franc. This got better over a couple hours. The fruit is light, but has some light red/black fruits with alot of savory notes, strong herbal notes, earthy notes, with a touch of bitterness. Medium/light body, good acidity and very low tannins. Very classically left bank in a lighter vintage, I guess this is partially due to the 11.5% alcohol.

Excellent bottle. Drinking perfectly. Give it about 1/2 to 1 hour of air. nose was sharp with red fruit, straw, and some light brett (but in a good way). Taste was all red fruit, earth, loam, some mushrooms with some strong herbal notes, bitterness, and good acidity. Tannins were pretty restrained. As always, just a really delicious wine that has nice complexity. No rush to drink up.

As good as it ever was. Great red fruited nose and palate, juicy midpalate, and nice acidity. Medium bodied. Always a great rose.

Very nice for a 44 year old village wine. Amazing nose, but the palate was a little less great than the smell. Still some nice red fruit happening, but moderated by mature soil, leather, earth, loam, etc. None of the brown sugar notes I see from very old burgs. Still a bit tart, some bitter/rough edge to it and the tannins still stick out a bit. But overall a very nice bottle and happy to have another. If you have a solidly stored bottle... no rush to drink. This will stay for another decade, at least.

This was best after an hour open, so give it a bit of air first. It kept getting better up to hour 3.

Still the best cider producer I know. As with the sweeter versions, this is fantastic. Really well balanced between fruit, acid, and light tannic structure. Great with sushi.

Note: The score might be higher in relations to other great ciders, but as I've not tasted them all, giving some room at the top.

Fairly solid over the first 4 hours, Started out with very strong red and black fruit but it faded after a bit to primarily red. Dusty tannins strong tart acidity, but no real mature notes coming through yet. I'll try the other half of the bottle tomorrow..

Day 2 (stored in 1/2 bottle in fridge), Much darker, a touch more heat, but less tart and less aggressive tannins, started to get some mature notes coming out. A touch better than day 1 as I like the earthy and green hints. So I think no rush to drink any bottles you have and can easily hold 5 more years if not 10.

Really nicely aged wine. Really well in its stride. Neat to have an aged version of this. Rim was light brown orange. Nose really reminded me of a French Lirac wine, with alot of candied red fruit, darker tobacco/leafy notes but no discernible earth on the nose. Palate was steady over 4 hours with red/black fruits, nice bitter hints (licorice maybe?), savory and dark herbal flavors and some warm spice. tannins her pretty much just in the background, but had a solid acidity. Just a really good wine. So throw the new vintages in the cellar for a while!

Solid bottle. A bit later than most on starting on my 6-pack. nice classic pinot nose, a bit stinky, red cruit, and a hint of earth. Good fruit on palate, still pretty strong tannins, and strong acid with good gushy minerality. Nice, but relatively uncomplicated. No rush to drink this.

very rich, modern rioja. Big black fruit flavors, some strong oak influences. Does have some leather and earthy components to balance the fruits, but could use more acidity. very unctuous mouthfeel. Solid wine, but very rich for what I prefer in Rioja. But overall a pretty good wine for drinking by itself as it can overpower alot of food. Solid QPR at under $20 US assuming you like the style.

Just about as good a Bordeaux as you are likely to find. Mostly mature with plenty of life left. Best of class out of 2 dozen '82s. Classic and gorgeous nose. On the palate it had strong black/red fruits that a really delicious with sweeter fruit notes emerging as it sat, moderately strong tannins, moderate earth, spice, black tea, and leather mature notes with a strong acid backbone. This is really well balanced, all parts are there. A real privilege to taste. No rush to drink this has easily another 20 years if stored correctly.

Fucking brilliant wine. In a tasting of '82s, the only one better for me was the Mouton and just a bit better than the Pichon Lalande. Beautiful and classic nose. Delicious red fruits, nice structure and acid, mice mature elements and a touch of green mint (or eucalyptus?). Hung in there over 5 hours, just a great wine!

Very purpley nose. Very primary. Under screwcap. Nose was all Deep dark black and blue fruits, very light mature decaying fruit due to the age. the taste had deep black and red fruits, some mature earthy notes, no real complexity though. Kinda wanted more complexity for a wine 16 years old. Very little tannic structure, had ok acidity, but had a unfortunate sour note. Overall, just an ok wine, nothing great. Very interesting for a 16 yr old mourvedre under screwcap tho. However, this is very much the way more fruit forward modern wines age...

Really nice wine. Needed many hours open. best after 2+ hours. Before that time, it was a bit closed. It improved over time and never truly peaked as we finished the bottle at hour 4. As it sat the fruit and mature notes really came out and it has really good acidity and structure. Quite nice

Wine changed dramatically over the 4 hours it was open. Lighter bodied, moderate fruit, very low tannins. This was pretty light and elegant once it was open for a while. We felt it was a bit more advanced than other bottles we've had, but still quite good. As it sat more fruit and sweet brown sugar notes developed and was best at the 3 hour mark. Overall, a really interesting and tasty burg.

Odd duck right now. Felt a bit unbalanced. Lightly sweet, good fruit, with a strong sour acidity. Felt like the sweetness and acid just havent moderated yet. Still good, but this has enough upside that I think people should wait another year.

This is hands down the best Barolo I've ever tried. Possibly the best wine period. This was incredibly elegant, complex, and just delicious. Almost ethereal in nature with delicate red fruit, tea, leather, ...and it goes on and on. I tasted probably 20+ other great wines that night at the "anything but Bordeaux" BWE dinner, and this was better than anything else. I will think about this wine for a long, long time.

Very nice, had nice yeasty notes, strong, strong acidity and a really beautiful sherry/oxidative profile. Had a light sweetness that tells me maybe everything hasnt fully integrated yet. Medium-full bodied. Might want to let this sit to see if the acid and sweetness come into better balance, but really quite good now.

This is pretty much the same as my 2015 note. Really nice lightly oxidative jura. A bit more ox that 7 years ago. Great sherry hints, brown sugar, strong apple and apricot nose. Great light ox's fruit, nice acid, with nice minerality and long finish. Really great complexity and superb QPR. Honestly, no rush to drink.

Still pretty primary. Never really came around in 3+ hours open. Opened up a bit, but it never really felt "ready". It was good, very complex fruit and light herbal notes with a very strong acidity and med/heavy body. I could get a hint of some maturity just starting, but honestly, I think this needs another decade to mature, based on this bottle.
