Just so damn tasty. Such a legendary winery. Still young! Wonderful balance of clean fruit and acid and still plenty of tannin to give it some grip on the finish. As mentioned in another note, bring out the steaks!
Red
I would definitely wait on opening these. Enjoyable now but still pretty tannic.
White
Drinking really well. Typical Roussanne flavors but backed up being great acidity.
Red
Awful. Almost spat it out as my taste buds recoiled in shock. The horror!
Red
Pretty damned good. Clean and quite modern in style. Drinks well now

The brett totally overwhelms any fruit flavors in this wine. This is a complete ripoff at close to $50.

Drinking fine but still young. I would wait a few more years yet, maybe even 5.

Simply beautiful, depth of fruit yet without the heavy weight Roussanne can sometimes have. Very easy to drink.

This wine is like the Monolith in Kubrick's 2001. Dark and not giving away much. Huge fruit but still a tad bitter on the finish, needs to mellow out some more. Lots of potential.

Rosé
very enjoyable.

Really nice. I would love to drink again in 5-10 years as it's obviously still a little tightly coiled at this point

Drinking extremely well right now. Delicious. Great balance of fruit and acid. One of the best examples of Ceritas I've ever had.

Sure, it's too young and needs plenty of airtime, but it still rocks!

Notes of candied apricots, chamomile, toffee. Nice amount of acid and good minerality. Would love to taste this again in 10 years.

Quite tannic, might have to decant this. Needs food. Nice garrigue nose and dried fruits on the palate. Bit chewy on the finish though.

Decent enough but nothing special. Quite delicate at first but the fruit is a bit sweet and the finish is very short. Some tannins present. I don't see any point in aging further.

Mildly oxidative, honeyed, vegative nose. Probably past it's peak but still offers enjoyment. Nice acid and fruit. Pretty typical SQN but time to drink up.

Fantastic wine. Still quite youthful considering it's already over 20 years old!

Has plenty of life ahead of it.

Sadly my last bottle. Still going strong, has mellowed out, retains plenty of fruit with a nice mineral spine to it. Ageing gracefully.

What a fantastic wine. As good as it was on day one, even better on day 2. Such incredible concentration. Super long finish goes on forever. Yet it is never heavy nor oaky. Such a well made wine that deserves all the accolades it gets. Wish I had more.

Very nice wine that is drinking well now. Still has a bit of a tannic bite and loads of fruit, so I'd say no rush to drink.

Science experiment gone wrong. Heavy oxidation. Drinkable but not particularly good.

Seriously green nose, which I think is probably from the use of whole clusters. Really light Grenache profile almost Pinot like in its purity of fruit. Very tasty, and I would expect the green nose to integrate with time. Would never guess South African Grenache.

If this is 13% alcohol then I'm a monkeys uncle. Apart from that, pretty tasty but really ripe fruit. Easily mistaken for a Napa blend. Has little 'classic' Bordeaux flavors.

A hint of oxidiation but not enough to be undrinkable. Must be lucky. Pretty tasty actually.

Cooked. Streaks of wine all the way down the cork. Dried wine under the foil. Bought from Premier Cru. Seems to be a recurring theme.

Screams Zinfandel on the nose, which is a nice change of pace for Saxum.
Deep flavors, really long finish, very nice wine.

Not much pleasure here. A lot of the 03 rhones I bought from an east bay retailer seem to be in terrible shape right now. Maybe just the vintage or bad storage at some point on the supply chain?

Downright tasty Pinot! For all those alcohol obsessed, who are 'in pursuit of balance', this 'low alcohol' producer's wine clocks in at 14.1. Excellent balance, not quite as tart as the Rivers Marie version from this vineyard, it drinks very well and should be good for at least another few years.

Very well balanced. Distinctly menthol/eucalyptus. Nice acid and tannins. However, I don't see this being a 97 pointer as recently reviewed by the WA. Drinking well now but can age further. On day 2 this improved, losing most of the menthol/eucalypyus and showing more syrah character

Beautiful nose on this wine. Palate is a tad thin, but for a village level burg, it is what it is. Decent mineral tinged finish. I don't get any green flavors from the vintage showing here.

This is beautiful Pinot. Very pretty, sweet fruit, high acid, perfectly balanced. Silky texture that glides down the throat far too easily.
