The color looked older than other 06 Brunello Riservas I've had. There is a slight orange tint where I was expecting to be more opaque. Aromas were subtle - crushed red fruit, vanilla, rose petals. Medium-bodied, a bit coarse, lots of cherry fruit and ample acid. It feels more primary if not in a dumb phase. But the cork condition worries me and think it may fail before this wine reaches its apex.
