Opened and let breath a half hour then decanted and poured. Strong dank barnyard notes that blew off revealing old wood, wet leaves, wet tea bags and potpourri scents. Super complex nose. Smooth and lush with great balance. The acidity is palpable and sharp on the finish. Leather and a lingering tart sweet raisin dried fruit that sticks at the back of the pallet. This is elegant like a fine Pinot but a bit of a brut structurally. Incredible wine in perfect condition. Drink now or when ever you want.

This is not big, a little more on the elegant side, but power lies in its structure where everything is in balance. Great for the hot 2003 vintage. This has faired well with lots left for those who want to wait longer to open. Drink now-2032
