Medium body, well balanced (i.e., nothing dominated) with tastes of black currant, cinnamon, mint. Medium finish, would have liked longer, but a very nice wine. Worth waiting a couple of years for, and will look forward to the next

Still my favourite Sav. Massive amounts of gooseberry, green pepper and grassiness

Drank along with a Gunboat Point Pinot. By comparison, this was thin, insipid and a little acidic

Ripe fruit, little tannin, very nice. Drinking well now, must bring my other bottle over on my next trip home!

I was expecting something much sweeter, but this was a pleasant surprise. Almost a creamy, nuttiness to it that was quite interesting

Drank after the '98 for an interesting comparison. More tannin left in this one, more depth, but both excellent

Delicious mature Cabernet. No tannin left unlike the '99

The best bottle of wine I stole from my sister in law's rack. Surprisingly heavy character, saddle leather and shoe laces

Light and fairly tasteless, but inoffensive. Ok quaffing wine

Delicious, ripe fruit, black cherries with a little liquorice. Definitely the best Kiwi Bordeaux-style I've "cellared"

This was the best NZ Pinot I'd ever tasted when I had my other bottle at Christmas in 2009. Looking forward to an occasion for the next one
