The Rockledge Vineyards Pinot Noir "Terres Blanches" 2010 has a limpid, dark red-garnet color. The nose opens gradually with strawberry preserves, ripe black cherries, and baked rhubarb, all seasoned with a light dusting of ground allspice and cardamom. On the palate, the wine is juicy and vibrant, with a finely delineated kernel of dark red and black fruit, bright fresh acidity, and a long, fine-grained finish. Drink now - 2016, at cellar temperature and out of a good large red wine glass. And of course, give it a little time. This classic Carneros Pinot Noir is another perfect example of a wine that puts on weight as it evolves in the glass.
