One of the best wine I had. #1winespectatorwineoftheyear. Not available on the market any more. Full, round, classy just by the perfume, promises kept on the tongue. Wish I had more.

Classy, round, no edges, fully developed wine, not for the long haul. Absolutely recommended, everyone will like it, though no high class.

One of the best wines I had recently. The berry flavour fills the room when opening and filling into a decanter. Still enough body to last for some more years. Sadly only one bottle is left. Yummy!

You can sense the class of this wine, as described by most of the former authors. However, mine tasted a bit 'corky' although the cork itself was ok.

Naja. Wine was ok, showing some petrol notes, and the body was quite mineralic. One of the less good GGs of this vintage. Definetly not worth more than 20 €,

Excellent. Shows already some brown edges but wine has still enough backbone to leave the drinking window open for another 2 years. I bought it years ago for 13 €. Hard to find such a good wine a this pricepoint. I guess nowadays these wines sell for more than 20 €.

Same rating and note as I have written almost six years ago, just a little bit more austere, or my palate has changed. 91 + Clearly recognizable as a Percarlo 2005.

Ready to drink after providing some minutes of air. Muted nose but the palate is rich, bold and with the right amount of tanin sweetnes.

Would I pay € 55 for this wine again? Definetly not. Would I pay € 24, which penfolds used to charge some years ago, before increasing prices in an almost ridiculous way? Certainly.

A perfect bottle of a very good wine. Vanilla, tobacco, wood, priamry fruit. A joy to drink and after 30 min. air with the right tannin structure.

I am usually a big Brunello fan, but for this bottle I would leave 60 % of all Brunellos aside.

Just opened a second bottle, which showed almost as good. Therefore the first bottle received a well deserved 93+.

Discovered the wine at an Italian restaurant in Duisburg and brought a bottle home. Nice cuvee, low acidity and medium rich. My spouse liked it a lot, I am probably more into higher freshness and fruity dry whines at the moment. QPR (11 €) is almost ok.

Powerful wine with some tanins left. With proper decanting, the wine is in a nice stage right now. Glad I have some more (and also the CndP and the Valbelle from the same vintage to compare).

Quite a lot of heat when drinking it in the summer. Or it is just bottle variation? Or is the heat emerging as the wine is getting riper?

Nothing really distinguishable. Nice, slight fruit, medium acidity and pretty short finish. Seems that this was some kind of fashion wine in Düsseldorf, which - for a price of € 7, seems to be ok.

Would buy it again, but in this price range, the German competition (i.e. Grauburgunder etc.) is pretty tough.

Only a glimpse of what it was at the beginning. This wine is going down in the wrong direction. The bouquet showed a bit of how young Riesling could be, but the body is sour and bitter. I had this wine several times and it seems that this needs to be enjoyed young. Did not finish it.

Was the best Chardonnay at the recenet Moevenpick Wine Tasting in Düsseldorf. However, buying and drinking a bottle at home did not convince me. It seems that Moevenpick currently does not have good Chardonnay with the right qpr on board. Looking elsewhere.

According to Moevenpick Wein, this has 92 Parker Points, which to me sounds ridiculous.

I had the 11 or 12 some time ago, which was good. But this is about missing oak integration, harmony and finesse. Why is it so difficult to produce a decent bottle of chardonnay at this pricepoint? I had wines more enjoyable at not even half the price tag.

Will definetly not buy again. 13,90 € at Moevenpick Wein.

Had the '14 at a Moevenpick wine tasting in Düsseldorf. This was the best chardonnay offered and I bought a bottle to test it at home before buying more. However, the clerk gave me a bottle of the 2012 vintage. Sadly this was way over the hill. So my faith in old chardonnay wines, especially from Argentina, has vanished.

Exchanged the open bottle to a '14 at the shop without any problems.

1 hour decant, limited nose but beautiful palate. Tannins well integrated. Drinking window open.

For the same price tag, I prefer the Canon la Gaffelliere, which has a more modern style.

Sadly my last bottle. Little phenolic note, which I start to love.

I am not a fan of sparkling wine. I would not spend lots of Euro on Champagne. From time to time I choose a 'Winzersekt' - (A German description of sparkling wine made in the same tradition as a champagne).

I tasted this one at a wine fair and bought the last bottle of the 2012 vintage available in the shop. Later, researching the internet I realized only 3.-4 thousand bottles are produced each year. I even haven't seen actual vintages. Maybe its not even produced any more.

So this was the ideal wine to start into the new year. Easy recognizable riesling flavors. Dry, fruity, no brioche / yeast note at all. However, very long, complex full bodied and also drinkable. Probably my all time favorite sparkling wine for about 25 €, however, sadly not available any more.
