At the very beginning pretty laid back. But with more air this one became more savory, gentle, ending in a subtle high class enjoyment. Currently available for 14€, fantastic qpr!

Nothing special, very laid back. Overpriced, except the nice label. Wouldnt buy again.

Had this wine for a starter (Focaccia).

Wa curious as I never had a pure Blanc de blancs. I dont like blanc de noir or red grapes, pressed into rose or white wine.

However, I couldnt tell a difference to the regular champagne bottelings.

This one had a lot of yeast on the nose, less of brioche and the body was bone dry.

GUess in this live I will not fall in love with Champagne. Did anyone say "Rieslingsekt"? I am in!

Enjoyed it quite a lot. Not as convincing as the last time, but still ok. But wouldnt probably pay 50€ again for this wine in that year. 98 Parker Points? Not tonight.

Usually I am not at all into Primitivo, considering the grape (especially in italian wines) as beginners wines.

However, this Zinfandel from Barossa convinced me. Fruity, fresh, nice nose, no more aeging required, directly out of the bottle into large glasses - it was very nice. Guess this wine isnt made for the long haul anyway. Some might think this is just an easy drinking wine, but to me, the mid class new world wines do convince me right now.

Had this wine in the decanter for more than an hour. Noticeably the started to come out, made it a less nice experience than previous bottles. Also, I had this wine in my kitchen for the whole day. So it might have been too warm for consumption.

So next time, get it out of the cellar just before dinner and dont let it breathe to log.

Or it just was bottle variation.

I am careful - had quite some longevity issues with previous Chaupin and VV bottles. Guess I need to drink them in the "Up to 7-8 years"-range.

A little pale, watery and bitter in the end. Definetly a wine you should empty the whole bottle at once. Arneis will never get better on day 2.

Enjoyed with a friend during a hifi music session. Agreed that the wine was worth it, but the hifi gear can be improved. ;) Easy to understand, immediately ready chardonnay, loved it!

Nice enjoyable high quality red. No brown or orange edges yet. Nevertheless I will make sure to drink my two remaijing ones within the next 2 years. Probably at its peak eight now. Would buy again for 18€.

Unbelievable and fantastic showing after 15 years, fresh, vibrant, lots of petrol, nowwhere close to the end of the drinking window. Having stored this 11 € wine for 13 years, I guess I am lucky or i like Riesling and Riesling likes me. :)

Blind tasting. Everyone likes it. Guessed correct: Rhone blend, however, noone guessed new world. I got this for 17 € and I am glad to habe some more. Not near a clsoing drinking window. I would give it 3-4 more years.

Ardanza 2015 & 2017 comparison (Feinkost Schneiderei Moers): Fantastic nose, full of vanilla, tanin sweetness, quite developed, however, the body shows that the wine could be aged further to be fully enjoyable. However, a fantacstic qpr. Dońt miss it!

Ardanza 2015 & 2017 comparison (Feinkost Schneiderei Moers): Beautiful nose from the very beginning, did not change a lot with air. However, the palate was a bit underdeveloped, compared to the 2015.

Luckily my last bottle which was flawed was an exception. This one shined after one hour. Unfortunately I brought it in my living room to early so it was 1-2 degrees C too warm. Still a fantastic wine! Although I am not really neutral here as Janasse wines are on my menu list for quite a while now. Merry christmas!

Very good year. However I think the 2020's will live much longer than the 2019s.

Had it for christmas eve together with a Janasse Chaupin.

Textbook chardonnay, I don't think it can get more typical and pleasant in this pricerange. WIll buy more.

I liked it very much. I was afraid of it being over the hill already as a german retailer sold it for 16,90 €. But it was actually a positive surprise. Plays in the same league as Chateauneufs.

The best part of this wine is the chardonnay. To ix it with Sauvignon blanc doesnt work for me. Missing chracter and charme. Go directly for the Submission Chardonnay, which is way better.

Yeast notes so prominent that a discussion started if its intended or the bottle was defective. Agreed on the first and gave it an 87. Everyone loved the label though.

I dont want to be the bad guy here, and maybe its a bad bottle, but this wine doesnt tell me anything. No fruit, oak, nut, nomhamrony, almost watery. Bought for 21€ at Mövenpick Wein. Would not buy again as there are many other nice chardonnays to try.

Big, bold, clearly new world style, quite some heat due to 16% alc., so best enjoyed with food. I liked it, but for 69 € there is a lot competition from Rhone and Australia.

Could improve for prob. 3 years. Not sure this will imrpove after that.

Drank at a dinner party. Bottle was provided by the host and decanted. Right from the beginning an expressive floral aroma.

Wine was not too young, medium body. Cant believe that I start to fall in love with spanish wine again. To me, spanish wines are often overrated by more or less serious ratings. But here, Parker might be right with 98 points. Well, at least the direction….. ordered 3 today for 55€ each.

Got this wine for 110 €. Had hard competition against 2 well selected and decanted red wines around 20 € each.

Wine was young, noticeable tannins, big, bold, but only decanted for 30 minutes. A bit laid back on the nose in the beginning. Definitely recognized as a high quality wine, but due to the tough competition only 93 pt.

Would drink again, but not sure if I would spend this amount againt. Probably if sufficient time for storing / decanting.

I didnt even expect this wine to be still alive after buying it in 2014 for 9,50€. Even some Janasse CdPs did not survive this.

Still sufficient fruit available, some structure backbone. Although mixed with bordeaux-varieties, i can recognize Janasse. At least I think. ;)

However, on day 2 the fun was over.

For my own interest. I have 10 bottles, so I need to do some research, although friends described it as ‚Kindsmord‘ (opening this bottle much too early).

Decanted for one hour drank it for two hoirs. Developed only in the last 30 minutes.

Having the 2014 in my mind which was a highlight this hear, I hope, this one will develop in the same direction. Not sure, if I can wait 7 more years.
