Enjoyed a bottle of 2004 Dom last night to celebrate my new next door neighbors. I don't know who they are yet, but I know who they aren't! My current miserable neighbors of the last 17 years.

The bottle tasted like a stunning mix of relief, joy and satisfaction. Truly memorable and matched the occasion!

Decanted 9 hours in cellar, then slow ox 7 hours on kitchen counter and finally 2 hours back in decanter. Needed all of that to strut it stuff. It was absolutely gorgeous with lots of dark fruit and dime slight herbaceousness. Perfectly paired with USDA Prime Prime Rib it was perfect balance of elegant and fruit. Top 5 woty for me. Happy to have a bunch more in the cellar

This is the second bottle of three. The first was pruney and I poured it down the drain. This one was beautiful like a well aged burgundy. Hope the third is more like this one.

Drank from magnum and opened 2 hours prior to drinking. Absoultely beautiful, fully mature/integrated but couldve gone a couple more years. Stood head and shoulders above 13 KB Kanzler, 14 Rivers Marie Kanzler and 15 Kanzler Walker Station

bought on auction. Everyone guessed Napa cab but no one guessed more than 10 years old. Beautiful color with no bricking or funk on the nose. Loads of fruit and while not exhibiting tertiary characteristics there was plenty of mocha, tannins and a touch of cigar box. Treat your children well....

Has been drinking wonderful the last several years with a healthy decant. It's finally arrived to pop n pour happiness. Tannins resolved and silky with plenty of fruit left. Glad I held onto four more. Go time!!!

Was good at PNP but really got where I was hoping it would after 2 hours. I'll give the next two I have some time after opening as it was transformational

Cork split. Deep red color with no bricking. Beautiful nose with no funk at all. At first all fruit almost cherry soda like. After 30 minutes picked up weight and secondary characteristics with light tannin's came out. Never would guess 21 year old Napa cab blind. What a pleasant surprise

Decanted for 1 hour. Initially a tannic disjointed mess (88) until the bone in NY's came off the grill. That brought it all together (92). Needs a big steak at this point in its life. Perhaps it always will.

Had with BV Rutherford and Tapestry all 1994. The Rutherford was undrinkable. We had same experience as Javachip This was the disappointment of the 3 as we expected better. The Tapestry blew it away

Consumed at Peay vineyard with Nick Peay. Beautiful black cherry nose, powerful on the pallet and a finish that wouldnt quite. All you could ask for in a Sonoma Pinot. It was the stand out wine of the weekend which included many of the top pinot producers in Sonoma. Left with a few bottles that should only improve with age.

Well stored bottle with no flaws. Fruit is gone and has been for a few years. It's seen better days. Wonder what it was?

Probably drank a few years too early. Showed its best on day 3 when the finish really came out and lingered over 30 seconds on the mid palate. Wish I had more to sit on for 3 more years.

Update- I do have one more!

Second bottle in a row undergoing secondary fermentation. Looks like earlier CTer had same experience in June so probably an issue with the vintage. Decanted 2 hours, put back in bottle, shook up with cork which did away with the effervescence. After that it was fine but not quite the beautiful pinot more typical of Kanzler fruit. Still a great bottle though

Second bottle drank of the six I bought. First bottle was a PNP and just OK. Decanted this one for 3 hours and it made a HUGE difference. Wouldnt even think about drinking again without proper decanting

Drank a magnum at my sons Bar Mitzvah with good friends. Drinking beautifully right now and wish I had another. The magnum went quicker than an 08 Kistler Pinot 750ml bottle sitting next to it. It was worth waiting to open it until now.

Very closed up at open and would not have guessed Syrah. After 2 hours it was a real joy to drink and I see what RP raved about. Dont know that it would have gotten better the next day. Paired well with spinach salad, grilled eggplant, lamb chops and pork tenderloin. Looking forward to drink my other bottle in a year or two.

Magnum. Wonderful and elegant cab that was a joy to drink. Opened at a large dinner party near end of night and barely got touched. Drank most on day two and the wait seemed to have been a good idea.

This is a tough one to score. I bought 3 btls on recommnedation of local wine shop person I trust. A year ago it was hot and not a great pleasure to drink. Just opened #2 tonight and its a completely different bottle of wine. Much softer and fruit has really come out nicely. Its not a blend I usually drink so I wont score it but drink em if you got em.

Just drank my 3rd bottle and each one has been better than the last. Fortunately have 3 more to go. Decanting is advised as there is lots of sediment. BTW, Decanted bottle #2 for 24 hours and it was a completely different wine and a real treat also.
