Found some of these in cartons?! At a local discount store. Very French is what I would call it. Mushrooms and musty on the nose, then very dry and musty with some fruit in a med finish. I really do not like the French musty wine much.... In the taste of the beholder...

Jammy rich peppery very delicious smelling, then more of the same, but the acid berries explode in your mouth! Med long finish, not much tannin to speak of. Great drinking now!

Very thin, worst Spanish wine I have ever had. This is the only one I can remember not liking. Boxed seven is much better!

This is a serious wine. Deep, mysterious, not giving up its secrets all at once. I like it! Plumbs and seeet raisins in the nose, then rich ripe fruit, followed by good tannin, and a long acid finish. Juicy, complex, great! Leling gives it a 90!

Drank the captains red table wine . Sweet ripe berries and mushrooms on the nose, then overly sweet grape juice, watery, thin, but a nicer rich slight tannin finish. Not that good.

Great! Even dad, a California red guy from way back, thought it was very good, on par with his ridge. Leling and I give it a 92.

Ripe berries and alcohol on the nose after opening for 5 hours, then juicy bright berries and grapes on the front with a long tannin and ripe berry finish. Good now, should develop over another 5 years. Maybe 10 years on a toscana.

Opened, decanted and waited 2 hours. Not a strong nose, but ripe berries, pepper, and a little smoke, then more ripe berries, pepper, juicy, and bitter on the end. Ok, but the flavors don't seem to blend for me. I find better for $7, or even $4!

wow, smells like a riesling to me, not much fruit or cherry, but grapefruit, fresh cut grass, and some citrus, then tannins, some grapefruit, a hint of cherry, then it ends. short finish. might be interesting in a few years when those tannins mature if that freshness can keep. interesting, but not my idea of a cab. not sure where to rate it, it is not unpleasant, just not what you would expect from a cab. Ill rate again tomorrow if it changes overnight.

Very soft cork which split upon opening. I dont think it altered the flavor. Dark cherry, plumbs, fresh and bright on the nose, then rich ripe berries and pumbs, mild firm tannins, slightly aromatic, full body, long finish. Great.

Rich tarry bright cherries and raspberries with pom on the nose, then bright spicy berries, less tar and a med finish. We like it. Tastes young, like young vines. We have had deeper richer more complex, but at double the price.
