Nervous going into it because of the age of the bottle, but tried it out paired with Mexican street corn. The pairing was perfect and the bottle still had life.

Don't get me wrong this is a good wine but hardly worth the price tag. It was full body with fine tannins dried cherry a bit of herb definently tight right now would hold onto for 4+ years before trying again I do expect it to get better with age but no where near the quality you would expect at its price point.

100% Sagrantino wine. Paired well with dark chocolate definently a food wine a little to tannic for my liking on its own.

Probably was good to great at one point but it has a really faded taste now. its window has closed.

Tasted at winery. Wine was extremely well put together with a perfect balance of acidity and sugar. Tasted like the most amazing strawberry rhubarb pie. At 70$ a bit costly for my standard purchase for a dessert wine but in this case well worth it. Pair with shortbread cookies, vanilla ice cream or cheesecake.

Second best bottle during a night of great bottles. Buy more if I can find it. Paired well with the vegetable and sauce dish I made. Decanted for an hour before serving.

Easy drinking Bordeaux blend. Paired it with a rib eye and it worked beautifully. It's really come into its own in the last year.

Although frogs leap is a well known producer this was little more than an average cooking wine in my opinion.

Powerful wine. Decanted a hour plus sent it through a Venturi help soften it. Probably can age another 5 to 8 years in bottle stored properly.

One of the best QPR I've come across in this price range. It does have sediment so filter or decant.

Not horrible but definently downhill in its life. Pop and pour did start getting better as it warmed up.

Have had a few different dessert zins, normally do not like them but this one was excellent.

good wine for the price had to warm up started a little chilled coming from the cellar. A bit tanic probably needs some more time in bottle.

Drank at winery. Needs more time in bottle but holds a ton of promise expect it to be great in a few years. One of the best Cabs tasted in sonoma during our trip there can stand up against the napa cabs.

Drank at winery. Nice wine holds promise to get better with a couple years in bottle. Probably not as good long term as the 08 but should be able to drink sooner.

Went wine tasting in Sonoma and Napa. This was the best wine tasted after 5 days of tasting. Agreed upon by the three other people tasting with me.

Amazing! Very sweet but not cloying and a great nose. Had at the winery, it was a perfect way to end the reserve tasting there.
