Did a coravin pour as my other syrah was disappointing. So juicy -- just draws you in and makes you smile if you love fruit.

Ageing well, some meatiness. Showing age on the rim and core, but fruit is holding.
Mild red and black fruit, short finish.
Good but no wow factor.

Pleasant to drink and holding strong after 10 yrs. Doesnt have quite the pop and elegance it had in its youth or other vintages. A solid carlisle monte rosso.

Drank to celebrate EOY bonus.
Surprisingly open on PnP, although this did improve with a decant. Decanted 3 hrs prior to drinking. Mouth aeration helped quite a bit as well.
Velvet and rich - a full bodied cab. Black and purple fruited.

Surprisingly good - especially on opening. Flattened out a bit over time.
Leather, spice, black fruit. Lomg finish with some complexity. Aged so well at this price point.

Took 30-60 minutes to really open up. Lovely meaty syrah with high fruit. A surprise winner tonight.

Opened 3rd bottle of the night and wow... JJ Buckley scores a huge win at $28 50!
So rich and full of fruit with integrated tannins -- hard to believe this is 13 yrs old.

Drank at Schwartz's for Christmas.
Opened a bit funky but improved after 60 minutes. Well integrated tertiary bourdeaux with smooth red and black fruit.

So tight on opening - this needs a decent decant (1+ hrs) to open up.
Quite aromatic - red and blue fruits. Powerful in flavor, and paired well with rao's pasta sauce. Reasonable length on the finish.

Thanksgiving wine - Coravin pour.
Really needed at least 30-60 min to open up.
Similar to other recent notes - holding strong, with obvious bricking on the rim. Blue fruited. No doubt a mountain merlot.

Not sure what is was tonight. This may have been my least favorite Loring Rosella's. High acidity, tart berries, spice,

Kinda meh... not as exciting as expected. More minerality / crispness would have been nice as I was in the mood for it tonight.

Inky black in color yet not as teeth staining as the color would suggest.

A 30 min decant was no where near enough to unwrap this beast. Needs 1-3. Opens up a bit astrigent.
Pepper, Licorice, some red fruit.

A serious thinking wine at this stage.

Mellow tonight... just didn't draw me in as a Carlisle zin typically does. Minimal spice.
