Tropical fruit nose with a subtle touch of flowers (hibiscus?). Peachy/apricot up front with well integrated oak, smooth and buttery on the finish with enough acidity to stand up to the creamy Chicken Pot Pie I had with it. Overall tastes like a bottle costing 2-3x as much. Great deal for the price!!

Dinner with wife, paired well with the food (sausage and lentil cassoulet), drank 1/2 the bottle after dinner and found it was much better paired. Medium body, nose of cooked fruit and menthol, finish of about 12-15 seconds. The medicinal aroma faded not long after decanting, found the fruit to taste jammy/plummy and the tannins to be smooth and well integrated.

Look forward to the next bottle with a nice roast beef or lamb.

Thanksgiving wine for the wife (non-white drinker). Decanted in the morning and re bottled (Medium amount of sediment), allowed to open for 1 1/2 hrs before dinner, bottle has been cellared since release. Still some nice fruit on the front end, cherries and a hint of tobacco. Nice color with a hint of rusty red around the edges, medium body with fast legs. Not as long a finish as I remember from earlier tastes, fruit and a slight hint of cedar, with a very tiny bit of tannin finish.

Overall, not a bad wine for being 4-5+ yrs past its peak.

Brought to dinner party with Di Majo Norante Sangiovese, 2005. Crowd split on winner (ended up being poured with main course of Roasted Tenderloin as the reds went quick). I prefered this wine, good fruit with a nice finish. Great price for a drinkable wine. Not sure on how long it will last.

Great everyday wine for the price. Brought it to a dinner party with a 2005 Domaine Puech Cocut Pinot Noir; crowd split on preference. Good fruit and mild tannins, may come together.

Great Zin but still a bit young. Drank with an Italian Sausage (sweet) soup that seemed to draw out the spicy notes of this tight wine.

Lost bottle found in the move. Thin, oxidized, and past its prime. Used 1/2 bottle for cooking.
