Drank over 2 nights - first night P&P and far more approachable than I was expecting. Capped overnight and reopened next night. Expected it to improve but actually pretty consistent with the first night. One of the better Andremily vintages I've had and I assume they are perfecting this wine with each vintage. This is a winner that you can drink now or lie down for several years.

PnP. Loads of sediment. Typical mature burgundy color and profile. May continue to age well, but I'd drink up sooner than later

Surprise of the night. Expected a great wine no doubt, but this punched a few notches above even my expectations.

Extended decant, but still too young. 100pt wine with another few years to rest

Slow-oxd for a good 6+ hours, this could have benefitted from a decant as well or another 4-6 hours of air time. Typical SQN grenache profile; a hint of sweetness. Fantastic wine, but so many others that bested it this night (no fault of the SQN)

WOTN contender. Nose exploded out of the glass. 10 years seems to be the ideal window for the Screaming Eagle 2nd label. Merlot profile was dominant; great pairing for all the foods served

Double decanted and allowed to breathe for 12+ hours, this was still tight even at the end of the night. Could see this rival the 2013s and likely a 100pt wine once released in the fall. Tremendous

As good as it gets. Contention for WOTN after 12+ hour decant. Just phenomenal

Krug MV white label (likely early/mid 80s). Highly oxidized, quite a shame

Delicious aged SWC, but quite possibly on the back end of its life. Bubbles were weak but flavor profile was ever present. Yeasty

Just another prime showing by the fine folks at Bedrock. Paired perfectly with pizza at home on a Thursday night. My last of the 2014s; time to crack the 2015s

2 hour decant. I didn't have high expectations given the vintage, but this wine blew me away. Will it age for 20 years? I doubt it, but it is drinking fantastically right now. Well done Schrader!

Very good, not quite great. I feel this is in an excellent spot right now; probably won't improve much from here but will be enjoyable for many more years.

Decanted for 2.5 hours before drinking. Initially very astringent and sour with no secondary notes. Let it breathe for a bit longer. After about 4.5 hours in the decanter, the sourness began to burn off and was replaced with sweet licorice and blackberry. Good, not great. Glad I got it on sale.

Outstanding wine from a relatively unknown source. $25 CA chard that drinks like one of at least twice the price.

American white wine doesn't get any better than this. Butterscotch, pineapple and honeysuckle but none of which is overly done. A finish that lasts for a good 30 seconds and coats the mouth. Pricery, but worth every penny IMHO.

First time with a 2014 and it didn't disappoint. Liked this better than a 2012 I had a few weeks ago. This is my favorite Sonoma Coast QPR pinot by far.

Drank on Thanksgiving. Decanted a good 5 hours and even that still wasn't enough. Initially too green, tart red fruit. However, after about another two hours, the greeniness gave way to balanced red fruit and menthol. I bet this will be a winner in 2-3 more years. 91 points for now

Minimum two hour decant required for the grenache spritz to blow off. Really opened up after about 4 hours. Light body, delicate, with notes of tobacco, dark fruit and cassis. In a good spot right now, but will likely go strong for another 5 years.

This is in a perfect place right now. Notes of apricot and pear. Nutty. Just the right amount of sweetness for a brut. Great celebratory bubbly for my anniversary.

Splash decanted without extended aeration, but this was ready to go from the start. Explosive nose. So much more delicate than the 89 Montrose that was opened alongside it. Whereas the Montrose was brash and spicy, the Angelus possessed far more red fruit and chocolate character.

I thought for sure this would win WOTN, but the Montrose is just a workhorse that needed time to shine. The 89 Angelus is ready to drink now and while it will age gracefully for another 10-15 years, I don't see it getting much better than this. 94 points

Opened and decanted at the restaurant. Cork was more saturated than I was expecting and broke in half even with the Somm's Ah-So. Luckily he was able to corkscrew the base out cleanly without losing any cork into the bottle. It was then decanted through a strainer for sediment, although there turned out to be very little.

Initially this wine was completely closed. Nose was flat and musty. Initial tasting impressions were gloomy; the thought that the bottle may have been corked even crossed my mind.

About two hours after decanting it started to come alive. The barnyard nose burnt off and the typical St. Estephe profile came through. Pepper, smoke and dark fruit.

In the end I thought this beat out the '89 Angelus - but just by a hair. 95 points

Either my tastes are changing or I don't have enough experience with RRV pinots. Tasted like a flat glass of Cherry Coke. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but I much prefer the SC KB's I've had in the past.
