2015 Wilde Farm Wines Chardonnay Alder Springs Vineyard Mendocino
My wife thought this was flawed (musty cardboard), but I thought just too austere. Then it warmed to room temp... corked!
Luckily we were having lemon pepper scallops with this bottle and it was drinkable (barely). We drank half the bottle and tossed the rest.

I'm sad that I have another bottle of this #Berserkerday wine. A nothing special chard, that on day 2 was tinny. You can drink this with non-geeks; or better yet, gift this.

With Jill while putting Christmas decorations up.
Let breathe in the glass for about an hour.
Nose shows lots of mushrooms right up front. Very funky and loads of wet dog. Savory elements coupled with some darker red fruit and earth, cola and rhubarb.
Dried herbs on the palate and some liqueur dark blueberries and plums. The mid palate is thin at this point and the finish is tart and short.

warning: for those of you who have read my notes, you know they try to be technical - this isn't one of those.

Unleash that inner wine snob! Share this wine with those who are worthy! Custom shirt, monogrammed cufflinks (your kids' initials, of course), Charvet tie, heavy wool flannel Richard James suit (3" cuff), suede Santoni lace-ups. Feel great about yourself! Now you are ready.

Inky purple color, beautiful black cherry on the rim. Big nose of dark berries, rich leather (RIIIICH, that's the operative adjective),a sprig of mint and smoked wood on the nose. Concentrated and pure black raspberries on the palate. Sweet and rounded tannins. Sexy, racy, etc. (Austin Powers purrrrrr with a "Yeah, Bay-Bay!)

I have been a big David Arthur fan since the late 90s. Perfect location, great people, skilled winemakers. It is hard to let 1147 cellar but the rewards are monumental. This is my wine of the year, so far, in 2013. Wow!
