was like nectar, we savoured every mouthful, lovely golden colour, great weight and mouth feel. Had vanilla and bread notes with lovely citrus tones. Was awhile ago we drunk this and its hard to write tasting notes but the memory of a notable wine lives on

Enjoyed this wine with mango cheesecake and 5 spice sauce so the floral notes and weight of this wine were a good match. A pleasant wine but not as luscious as I was expecting it to be

Drank this awhile ago Just remember it being good value for money and thinking that I must buy more. I think this would be a good cellaring candidate

We enjoyed this wine with slow roasted pork belly served with an Asian inspired sauce. Lovely wine, perfumed nose and the taste of exotic fruits and petals. Medium weight, clean wine, varietially true, nice finish Good to be drinking a Gewurzt again

My goodness this was spectacular. Last bottle in my cellar and wish I had bought more. Aged bottle characteristics of diesel or glycerine, wonderful mouth feel, sweetness modified by a long long clean finish. Mandarin, lychee, toasty notes candied peel, and still that lovely spritzy acidity that I associate with younger vintages

The last bottle we drank had fallen over so we were pleased that this one was ok. But just ok. Very faded, still balanced with good pinot characteristics but unexciting and unmemorable.

Dry with petrol characteristics from bottle age. I find dry wines a bit thin mid palette an this was no exception, citrus flavours and some pithiness. I probably preferred this as a younger wine

wonderful pinot nose, very flavoursome and juicy, still great primary fruit even after 5 years. This one still has some shelf life, wishing I had another bottle to open further down the track

Lovely secondary fruit flavours with a touch of tobacco and spice. Really mellow and silky and integrated, nose very pinot like but not as noticeable as when the wine was younger. Did not open out in the glass significantly so will drink the next bottle soonish. Will Central Otago 'fruit bombs' evolve like wise as the vines get older??

I liked this wine more than a Gru-Vee I tried from Otago, the fruit profile was more tropical though still pears, apples, a wee bit of citrus. The acidity was not so noticeable as the Otago wine we tried but I still find it to much like a Sav B for my liking (but hey I am just trying this variety for the first time)

Like a pinot gris, in flavour profile, pear and apple and melon with (according to the descriptors for Gru-Vee) white pepper, but I thought it was more like the acidity associated with Sav B. Not sure if I like it but then I have not tried many of this variety

enjoyable wine, I like Wither Hills because it has the weight and creaminess of chardonnay but not excessive oak and good fruit, so the 2007 hasn't let me down

Carrick was one of the first wines I started cellaring and was completely seduced by the pinot nose, depth of flavor intensity and the color of the wine. Lovely balance and silky tannins, looking forward to the next bottles

a little time in the glass saw this wine open out, amazing primary fruit flavours (still), the nose was not as strong as a newer vintage, the wine was balanced layered and very drinkable. This wine bottle was labelled for Works Infrastructure as a gift to employees

lovely wine with sticky date pudding an butterscotch sauce, sweet citrus was enough to cut through the richness of the pudding and the butterscotch and marmalade flavours in the wine complimented and added richness. Good wine for the price will buy again

lots of bottle age characteristics, smelling like Riesling but tasting of some oak on the palate also kerosene and quite creamy in the mouth, after it had been opened for a while some citrus profile began to show, I wondered if it was at its peak or just past, maybe becoming a little disjointed or favour faded in mid palate

Delicious wine, intense pinot nose and flavours on the palate, clean and well balanced, a wine to savour and it was the hit of the night. it seemed to open out in the glass quite quickly which lead me to wonder how long it would keep. Will be interesting to see how the other bottles drink
