Exceptional Pinot and drinking very well right now. Light and balanced with just the right amount of character. One of the best Sonoma Coast Pinots I've had.

Not bad for $18 at Trader Joe's but an odd mix of flavors on the palette which left me perplexed. It certainly doesn't live up to it's red blend sibling.

Big pinot - classic for Russian River valley and particularly '09. Lots of fruit and drinking pretty well right now compared to other '09s pinots I've had recently.

Big and bold, but not over so. I generally think Silver Oak is overrated, but this bottle was quite good and drinking well right now.

Worried that we had waited too long to drink, but was exceptional and is drinking well. Nicely balanced, light with a hint of nuttiness. There are few sparkling wines I have enjoyed as much.

Excellent subtle zin with really nice spice notes. Drinking well, but does not hold up well the second day. Drink in one sitting which shouldn't be too difficult.

Not sure if this wine still needs time, but overly tanic, acidic and not particularly well balanced. One tasting note mentioned not decanting this wine. I'd agree. Much better right out of the bottle.

Definitely let this guy decant or let sit for a bit to settle down. Deep, rich, spicy Zin. Figs, plums and a hint of jalapeno pepper on the nose. Spicy red fruit and green pepper across the palate with blackberry, currants, vanilla undertones. Tannin and oak softens as it opens up.

Prior comments recommend decanting for at least an hour. Do so and you will be well rewarded with a dynamic, tasty Pinot with a complex flavor profile.

The '07 Volta wasn't drinking as well as of this date as it seemed to be a year or so ago - flatter, less character. I have a couple more bottles and will give them some more time.

Bought this at Trader Joe's as well. I usually avoid TJ wine but tought I'd give it a shot. The wine has some decent spice and tannins but comes off flat. It's much better after being aerated but still....
