Consumed in honor of this great producer. Beautiful somewhat restrained crisp white fruit, backed by a strong but not overbearing acid backbone. Nice with sushi. RIP Willi.

This was awesome with a duck breast and creamed spinach. Still some crunchy dark red fruit though the youthful brightness has evolved to show more depth. Solid acid backbone remains to give this some staying power on the palate. Showed much better than a recent 2010 Abbey's, very happy with this bottle.

No notes on this wine so I might as well leave one for posterity. Purchased 8 bottles almost a decade ago, this is the last bottle for which I paid $5.

A few bottles were dead, but this one is still in quite good shape. Cork was soaked and slid out easily but the wine is solid and typically correct, still showing plenty of sugars delivering pear and yellow fruit with a bit of soapy overtones. Lacks some of the complexity of a Baumard but very drinkable and this last bottle exceeded my expectations.

No recent notes on this so wanted to add some data. Opened a magnum purchased on WineBid back at Thanksgiving. No specific notes but it was memorable - absolutely singing with medium fruit and a solid acid backbone, showing some oxidation from age but just begging you to go back for more. Glad I bought 2 and I really hope the other is in a similar place. Beautiful wine that felt near peak from mag, I don't know why you would hold at this point. Enjoy!

Like others this bottle had a mushroomed cork and was destroyed by TCA. Down the drain.

Nothing wrong here, just nothing interesting either. Round ripe apple, medium acid. This producer doesn't really do it for me.

First of many as a household favorite bubbles from our wedding year. Tight and acidic as expected, but overlaying a nice depth of fruit and long lingering finish. Enjoyable now but I look forward to the future.

This was in a great place, well balanced with a nice acid backbone. Showed a lighter fruit touch than I'm used to with U-W, but quite enjoyable. I would say this is in the prime drinking window now, with a couple of years to go at least.

I find this a bit tart and shrill. The standard Estate last week was much more pleasant for current drinking. Perhaps it needed a rich food to pair with the acid, but so far after a couple of bottles the 19 trocken has not been my thing.

This was spot on - nicely integrated, not showing any alcohol heat or overly stewed or oxidized characteristics. I think this is prime drinking window and probably won't improve from here.

Brett. Managed to get through a glass but it bloomed with oxygen, day two completely undrinkable and poured down the drain.

Eminently drinkable blend of all 6 white CdP varieties, great balance of yellow fruit and light white flowers with just a bit of viscosity and a clean lengthy acid driven finish. Really enjoyed this wine with smoked tri tip tacos, the flavors played nicely together and left a wonderful extended palate.

A little more dosage than I typically drink, this was a bit rich and juicy for me tonight, very fruit forward. Interested to see how these evolve as I love the Paul Bara wines in general.

This showed quite nicely with a prime rib roast, and paired particularly well with a foie gras torchon. Palate and nose were a bit decoupled, with the nose showing a bit muted from age, but the wine showed nice density on the palate. Very nice bottle that gave us a pleasurable drink over two hours.

Premoxed and poured down the drain. The high ratio of flawed wines is why I stopped buying Cameron. Had high hopes but alas twas not to be - devoid of fruit or any real character.

This was completely different than my other bottle, really spot on. Great spice and black fruit, with a solid acid and tannin backbone. Drink if you've got it, and I hope it tastes like this. Nice pair with reverse seared herbed porcelet collar.

Another corked bottle. These are terrible, across multiple 90s vintages from this producer, they get popped and poured down the drain.

These wines have just not held up. No distinction, just a hot gloopy mess.

Really great stuff, always can depend on Selbach. White peach and flowers, great viscosity and a long finish, all backed by solid acids. In a nice place but lots of life left.

I assume my grandfather bought this bottle. I had assumed this to be dead after decades in storage under my parent's home bar, but it was just fine. Shared with a number of folks at the local wine storage, then consumed the rest after a week in the fridge. Really interesting oxidized notes, a bit of date fruit, but generally pleasurable to drink. Doubt I'll ever see another bottle of this again!

Very well integrated, nice red fruit, darker than usual for a rosé. I feel it lacked a bit of backbone, just didn't really show the acid that characterizes 08. I like Jacquesson in general but don't feel this wine justifies the price tag. I have several more and hope it gains a bit of complexity with time.

This was way over the hill. Not even close to drinkable anymore. No obvious flaws, just no vibrance or fruit of any kind. Just hollow and lifeless. So far 3 out of 3 dead old bottles from Envoyer.

This is a pretty good QPR at discounted retail. Nice clean yellow fruit with a long lasting acid backbone. Great drinker or with richer seafood and pasta. I bought a handful for weeknight drinkers but would be happy to buy this in case quantities.

This bottle was darker than some other notes, much more cranberry in color. Nice cutting acidity with abit of darker fruit and a nice spicy finish. Good for fall food pairing and a good value at $40.

Absolutely on point. Still some mixed red and black fruit on opening, evolving to bloody Mourvedre with a tinge of funk. Stellar with homemade pizza tonight, everything I want in aged Beaucastel.

Bright and vibrant - showing youth with clean pure fruit, and a lean drive that can be lacking from other bottlings of cab/merlot. That said, it lacked a bit of the complexity as well, which makes me question the price tag. Academically interesting, will hold my other bottle for a few years to see where it goes.

So I only made it 2 years since my previous bottle. Absolutely wonderful stuff, youthful vibrance with some nice secondary characteristics. Loved by the group, wish I had more.
