Very enjoyable. Has something I have not found a good description for yet, something yeasty from fresh baked bread perhaps. I find it in Washington wines much more often than California, and really enjoy wines with that characteristic.

Enjoyed my first bottle of this wine a week ago, and neglected to take any notes. It's lovely, however, and I just wanted to capture the score for future reference.

This is one of those interesting cases of experiencing a wine differently than most people. It has an odd combination of berry flavors that I don't enjoy, a mix of blueberry and mulberry. On top of that, I find it quite harsh, with very coarse tannins. I didn't even finish the bottle which is rare indeed.

Still drinking very nicely. Cork on this one was starting to go but the wine is fine. Maybe a little funky upon first pour but that blew off quickly enough.

I appear to be destined to consume this wine with gusto without actually pausing to capture a few notes beyond "Terrific!" scrawled on the back of a piece of scrap paper. I've never been disappointed by a Secret Squirrel bottling and honestly, it's got to be one of my favorite labels to share with friends.

I concur with the blackberry/graphite/cedar aspects noted by others. Very enjoyable as a PnP, better on the 2nd night. Need to remember to not open another for a while.

Enjoyable, but to my palate it still seemed tight. Good concentration of berry flavors, grippy tannins, but I feel there was a lot more promise than delivery.

This bottle seems more put-together than the first. I'm going to hold off opening any more for a couple of years, I expect the time will do wonders for it.

Opened without consulting CT first; hadn't intended to pop a cork on this quite so soon. Red plum and black cherry, very good concentration, nice tannins, good acidity.

Consistent with previous, but bumping the score as I look forward to opening another bottle more so than with almost anything else in my cellar. Such good concentration, mouthfeel, tannins and acidity are so nicely balanced.

Very good, but I don't agree with the RP 94 rating. I don't think it was a $40 value.

Has a curious blueberry/marionberry flavor that's interesting yet off-putting at the same time. I'm sure many would find it delicious, but I'm not a fan.

The last one. I missed out on the 2017 and the 2018 I bought won't ship until fall. Alas. But it drank just fine, although it is time to finish up IMO.

The existing notes on this wine make me wonder if I drank a completely different wine than everyone else. This wine ranks among the better bottles of Syrah I've purchased. The Viognier brings those wonderful floral notes, plus there's some orange ala Grand Marnier to boot. The wine has a terrific mouthfeel, with concentrated marionberry, blueberry, spice, leather and dusty tannins. Acidity provides ample lift into the medium plus finish. Such a lush wine, I can't believe it spent no time in oak. Amazing QPR.

A melange of berries, pie crust, nutmeg, cedar, and vanilla. This was about as close to my mom's blackberry cobler as you're likely to get in a bottle of wine. It was fun to drink, but it's an odd collection of flavors and the cedar was a bit too much and the vanilla notes weren't welcome.

Raspberry, rose, some funk and minerality. Moderately high acidity comes on quickly, provides a lot of lift into the finish. Still has nice fruit.

This is my first bottle; drank over two days with open bottle stored at
room temp, no Vacuvin or similar used. It held up well but didn't open up much. I found it to be more simple than expected, not quite
one-dimensional, though. All of the elements were there but seemed to be lacking oomph. As such I'll approach it as more of a quaffer and enjoy it for that.

A pretty terrific Rosé of Pinot Noir from the MacPhails. Strawberry/watermelon (my personal favorite flavor profile for a Rosé) with lip-smacking tartness and a hint of sweetness. Hits the right balance, very good on its own but works well with the right pairing.

This is a splendid Dry Creek expression of Côte-Rôtie, ala California. All Pasterick estate fruit, stressed Syrah vines, and high standards come together to make an exceptional wine. It has the characteristic floral notes from the Viognier and deep, brooding black fruit, spice, and olive tapenade. Tannins are well-integrated and the oak influence is balanced. Good acidity with a medium-plus finish. Outstanding.

I'll refrain from giving this wine a score. Upon first pour, there's a tremendous amount of blueberry; so much so that I'd swear this is a young Mourvedre. It's not my favorite berry flavor in a wine so I didn't enjoy this very much the first night. By the second night it had settled down quite a bit, enough so that I liked it better but still in the end left it for my wife to finish up.
