11/18/14, 12:53 PM - Loved your thoughts on this. That is what wine is all about! Thanks for sharing.
5/21/13, 10:11 AM - That sounds fantastic!!!
3/1/13, 10:30 AM - Your comments are very similar to that of others who have tasted this bottle. I only have one. Is it worth trying to hold onto and waiting for it to possibly turn a corner, or should I just bite the bullet and open it up?
3/1/13, 10:27 AM - How do you feel that you were "scalped/exploited" at the winery, exactly? Was it because you paid retail value for a premium producer's wine? Your comments make it very clear that you don't understand much about the wine business, which is surprising after looking at your profile and seeing how many bottles you've consumed. You're not paying a premium. The winery sets the price of the wine. The premuim, or discount as the case me be, comes into play once that bottle hits the shelf of your "local wine shop."
2/26/13, 4:06 PM - Can I assume that you let this properly open up as opposed to @rjfoss? He mentions a reticent nose the very next sentence after he said that he popped and poured... Pretty unfair to the wine if you ask me.
2/26/13, 4:04 PM - So you're telling me it's time to drink??? ;)
2/26/13, 4:02 PM - Could not agree more! I think this is an absolute steal.
2/13/13, 12:57 PM - Did you taste this at the Carriage House release?
1/14/13, 4:42 PM - Totally agree. This is exactly why I stock up on this almost every vintage.
1/14/13, 4:41 PM - Aix is one of those bottlings that drinks pretty well right out of the gate. Don't kick yourself for drinking it, but definitely stock up the cellar because it does get even better...
1/14/13, 4:39 PM - With a review like this, I feel like I have to pop one... :)
1/9/13, 4:55 PM - You're right about this being a stunning wine. I brought this to a restuarant a few months back and it was one of the best bottles of wine I've had in a long time. I just wish you wouldn't have insulted it by comparing it to a Napa cab... ;)
1/9/13, 4:51 PM - The "vibrant fruit" is really what sold me on this wine. Well put.
1/7/13, 3:58 PM - Received this as a gift a year ago, or so. Thanks for the review... I'll get on it.
1/3/13, 11:34 AM - So excited to have one of these in my collection after reading your review. Thanks.
12/28/12, 3:18 PM - Coming in 2nd in that lineup doesn't seem too bad... What did you think this bottle was lacking?
12/28/12, 8:26 AM - I have loved this wine in the past and am glad to hear it's still holding up! Thanks.
12/28/12, 8:25 AM - Great call on bringing the temp up on this bottle a little bit before drinking.
12/28/12, 8:23 AM - Do you think maybe this is past its prime? It is only a Bourgogne...
12/28/12, 8:20 AM - Great review. Excited to open this bottle for NYE dinner!
12/14/12, 1:14 PM - Congrats on finally getting into WA wine! It's been too long.
12/5/12, 5:21 PM - Yes, it's crazy expensive, but man is it good!
12/4/12, 11:22 AM - Thinking about taking this to an upscale steakhouse so I'm happy to hear it should work well... :)
12/4/12, 11:07 AM - What did you think of the acid level on this wine?
12/3/12, 11:57 AM - Any thoughts on when to drink? Only have one bottle and would love to hear if you think this is going in either direction. Thanks.
12/4/12, 11:06 AM - Thanks so much for your thoughts. I'm not too concerned over the provenance on this bottle, but if it's tasting nice right now, I don't know if I can hold out! :) Thanks, again.
12/3/12, 11:58 AM - Two things... I LOVE this wine! and your name is great.
11/30/12, 3:03 PM - I'm with you on the Matrix, but with your friends on the wine.
11/30/12, 2:56 PM - Visited these guys a few months back in Walla Wall and was so impressed. Great wine.
11/29/12, 2:59 PM - Crazy that a wine from Barrister would have outshined DeLille... especially Chaleur Estate.
11/29/12, 2:37 PM - I've been wanting to try it, but something about it just seems wrong...
11/29/12, 1:49 PM - This is a killer rose at any price point, but at $10 (at most) it's just that much better.
11/29/12, 1:39 PM - I've always been a fan of these guys, and this wine in particular. Down to just a couple more of the 2006, but after reading your review, I might just have to crack one...
11/29/12, 1:31 PM - Picked one up a few months ago without being able to taste it, but simply on pedigree and what I've heard. Your review has me excited!
11/29/12, 1:26 PM - Couldn't agree more!
11/29/12, 10:18 AM - There are a lot of people that knock this wine due to the marketing behind the yellow label, and I'll be the first to admit that I've done it. But I happened to be poured some this past weekend and it's pretty good stuff...
11/28/12, 5:18 PM - Did you work with Pinto or Billo??? They were both great and this riesling was unreal!!!
11/28/12, 2:36 PM - VP of all ages work for me.
11/28/12, 2:35 PM - So lame!!! Sorry to hear that. That sucks.
11/28/12, 11:39 AM - I always get massive licorice from these guys.
11/28/12, 9:50 AM - Loved your review. I remember having this wine shortly after it was released and though it was insanely woody, I had an inkling that there were hopes of something delicious underneath.
11/28/12, 9:36 AM - Any thoughts on longevity of this bottling? Have a couple left... Thanks.
11/28/12, 9:35 AM - Hi RFRAS, I work for these guys on the weekends and I'm always curious to hear how you heard about us. Glad that you enjoyed the wine!
11/27/12, 5:02 PM - Looking forward to tasting this. Was able to get a few on a recent trip to Walla Walla. :)
11/27/12, 5:00 PM - Thanks for the review. Bought a few of these on a whim a couple of months ago and are yet to open one. Now I'm even more excited.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
