Tasted after 90 minutes of air. Tasted against 4 other Washington State Bordeaux Blends. This was my favorite. Some of the others cost twice as much as this. Muted nose. Dusty cherry fruit. Plenty of grip. Firm tannins. Excellent balance. Very interesting spice on this. Just hangs on the palate. Excellent finish.

Just the basic Columbia Valley Merlot. Same stuff you buy at Safeway for $7.99 a bottle back in the 1990s. Winemaker probably said drink up in the first 5 years.

Tasted after 90 minutes of air. Medium garnet color. Browning at the edge. Stewed cherry fruit. A bit of funk here. Still holding together nicely. Past its prime for sure but still going strong. Savory plum fruit. Some cocoa. Medium finish. Much better than I would have expected. Mike Januik knows a few things about making great wines.

Tasted after 1 hour of air. Sour cherry fruit. Very savory. Some acid but this comes across as a bit flabby with not much mid palate or finish. Not nearly as good as the last bottle of this.

Tasted after 1 hour of air. Dark ruby color. Sweet floral notes. Sweet savory cherry fruit. Some dusty tannins. Sage. Not much on the finish. Decent and I expected more from this.

Tasted after 30 minutes of air. Woody. This was a potentially good wine destroyed by a heavy oak treatment. Some sweet pineapple with some balancing acid. The oak dries out the finish. At least I only paid $20 for this. Can't imagine paying $70.

Tasted after 1 hour of air. Pale ruby color. Very crunchy. High acid. Very sweet raspberry fruit. Nice cut and delineation. Some spice. Nice high toned fruit on the mid palate. Mr. Adam is crazy man for making wines from these no name verticals. I love them. Wine would be boring if everyone followed the same formula.

This reminds me of a 2009 Petrus I had recently. Bold cherry and plum fruit. Hint of cocoa. Excellent balance. Plush. So many dimensions here. Sorry Tim decided to give up making wine. A true gent and one of the best people in Washington making wine.

Tasted after 25 minutes of air. Very tangy green apple notes. This is really starting to open up now. Crushed gravel. Lime zest. Very sweet balanced by high acidity. Quite a bit of complexity here for such a lowly wine varietal

Just returned from another trip to the Wilamette Valley. The big donut hole was that Todd Hamina is on hiatus and was not available to greet us. Some of our most memorable trips were with Todd and his henchman. We loved every minute of his sass and wit. There is no one in Oregon that fills that void. 92 points for this just because Todd made it and it is damm good.

Apple fruit. Nice richness. A hint of nuttiness. Some minerals.

This is one of the best values in Oregon Chardonnay. Mark's entry level chardonnay is better than many other wineries reserve bottlings.
