Wow! Soft tannins. Chocolate, spice and dark berries. It was everything we want in a CA cab.

Super light cab, but nice when that is what you want. Not sure it is worth the $$ though. Drink young.

Drinkable red but not worth the price. Got a bit better on day 2.

flawed
We have really liked this in the past. Part of the cork (inside the bottle) looked like there was black mold in it (not crystals). I don't know that it was actually mold - I do not know what it was - it just looked like mold. The nose on the wine was initially offensive but mellowed out. The actual wine was pretty tasteless. I believe this was a flawed bottle (2nd bad bottle of Blankie we have had from the winery, the first was an '07 Rive Droite).

87 might be generous. Nose was terrible but got a bit better over a few hours. No backbone. Overall extremely disappointing.

Delightful lightweight summer rose. However, it is on the expensive side for a porch pounder.

A lot of fruit, especially blueberry, with a touch of cola. Decent wine for the $12 price tag.

There are some real Italian gems and this is one of them. Good wine that is very well priced.

flawed
I would not go as far as saying the bottle was defective, maybe borderline going bad. It was definitely a bit off - based on the other '88 bottles we have had of this wine. With this particular bottle the color was very dark brown with just a bit of rusty red, the nose is old soil and the flavor void of fruit. Overall had a musty smell and taste.

Really nice zesty wine with refreshing acidity. If I was blind tasting, I may have guessed this was a sauvignon blanc.

Late disgorged release is not worth the QPR. Would rather spend the money on a good Champagne.

Very good Champagne for the price. Easy to drink with or without food. Not terribly complex but bright and refreshing with nice acidy. Lemon curd, mineral and croissant. Bottling: Feb 2011. Would buy again.

Easily a good everyday Champagne for the price. Lots of tart green apple and zesty minerality. Good aperitif or even with cheese. Would buy again for $25.

Opened it Friday. Bottle was okay - probably 89 or 90 at best. Typical 2011. Lots of bell pepper. Came back to it on Saturday and, in my opinion, the wine was breaking down far too quickly. I didn't even drink the rest - elected to open a different bottle instead. I just don't believe the 2011 will get better with more time in the bottle. Drink it now so you can move on to better wine.

Late disgorged bottle - good bubbles and aged chardonnay nose. A bit pricey at $100.

As most 2011 Napa cabs are, this one was disappointing for the high price tag. It isn't a bad wine - just not normal Staglin quality. Consume the '11 now.

Slightly sweeter aftertaste than I generally like, but great bottle for the price. Easily a champagne you can open (often) without feeling remorse over the price...and you won't get mad when you open a bottle and your friends want to mix it. Would pair nicely with spicy Asian foods. Also a nice affordable aperitif.

Previous reviewers liked this wine, but for our palate, it is past its prime. At $175 I am looking for more complexity and frankly, want to be blown away....this wine does not delivery (anymore).

Drinkable, but not our favorite...hints of sweet fruit followed by a cheap wine taste. Hard to explain what followed the initial fruit but will not buy this wine again. It is not our style.

Good wine, but like most 2011 Napa cabs, underwhelming and unmemorable. Normally I LOVE Beau Vigne wines. This one is good for an '11 but doesn't compare to their 2012-2014 wines.

Not a terribly tannic wine…more soft fruit with a slight bit of earth. It is pretty easy-drinking. If you like a big bold cab with a lot of tannins, this is probably not the wine for you. This was not my favorite cab ever, but for a 2011 we found it to be fairly enjoyable (though not worth the price). I doubt it will age well past a few more years and if I had more, I would drink it now.

This bottle was more aged than I expected it to be at only 10 years. It has not lost much of its carbonation, but the color has intensified to gold. There is still ripe apple that I often get with a Schramsberg sparkling layered with notes of biscuits and a rich nuttiness. Round, soft wine with much less of the crisp acidity you get with the newly released bottles.

Really need to give this time to open up and let some of that alcohol smell and taste dissipate
