Medium Garnet. Fragrant and fine Margaux; wonderfully mature and well developed nose of tobacco, oak, farmyard and savoury. Palate well balanced; tobacco, blackcurrants leaf, mint, and some plum and red fruits; nicely balanced with rounded tannins. Good and fully matured wine.

Random Tasting and Drinking with Bryan and Nic

Decanted 30 minutes. Deep Purple, big, intense wine. Full body and long finish. Red cherry, plum, smoke, licorice, wild flower, cinnamon and spice . Jaminess. The tannins are silky and polished. Very concentrated. 14.5% Alc. Perhaps just a little over ripe and heat to it. But overall a good wine.

Afternoon Australian wine tasting. Cracked capsule and sign of seepages from the bottle.

Decanted for 1 1/2 hours.

The wine is clear with deep purple colour and legs.

On the nose it is medium plus intensity, with aroma of plum, blackfruits, jaminess, cooked fruits, cassis and kirsch. Devloping? Perhaps not due to bottle condition. Too jaminess and cooked fruits, reminded me of a Languedoc Syrah.

On the palate it is dry, with medium minus acidity, medium tannin, high alcohol, full body, pronounced flavour intensity of red fruits, pepper, chocolate, eucalyptus, cooked fruits, mint, and liquorice. Finishes Long. Outstanding wine. Drink now with pontetial.

Afternoon Australian wine tasting.

Decanted for 1 1/2 hours.

The wine is clear with deep purple colour and legs.

On the nose it is clean, pronounced intensity, aroma characteristic of liquorice, dark cocoa, pepper, prune, kirsch, cassis, jaminess, vanilla, and oak.

On the palate it is dry with low acidity, medium tannin, 15% alcohol, full body and pronounced intensity and flavour of plum, spice, pepper, red fruits, vanilla, chocolate, eucalyptus, coffee. Finishes long. Very good wine on this ocassion as compared to tasting it 2 years ago which was outstanding. A little disappointing, fell flat in the end, and lack of fruit structure to hold. Maybe it is just going through a dumb phase. Only the future will tell. Keep first. Or perhaps drink it after decanting for a short while, too much air doesn't do it any good.

beautifully fragrant aromas of fresh pine/lime, melon and lychee accompanied by extraordinary floral notes. The subtle, clean flavours of lemon sorbet, lemon tart and orange rind balance perfectly with the residual sugar creating a full, lush, round palate.

Wine of the Night: 2010 Run Rig Runner up: 2012 Old Vines GSM

Grilled Sher Wagyu Sirloin BMS 8

Decanted at 3pm and tasted at close to 1000pm

This is how a perfect or near perfect Shiraz should be made. By the way this has a 2.5% of Viognier blended into it.

Clear, deep purple colour. Clean and pronounced on the nose with aroma charaxteristic and complexity of raspberries, apricots and crème de cassis, hints of black olive and cherry.

Concertrated, full body, pronounced flavour intensity with characteristics of fruit cake, black fruits, star anise, dark chocolate, liquorice, plum, and pepper. Multi dimensional, constantly changing, and evolving. Long long finish at 15.5% Alcohol. Outstanding wine that needs time in both bottle and decanter. Savour the moment.

Random afternoon tasting with glass ware, without decanting.

What do you expect from a random tasting without aeration? Nothing is exactly what you get. Initially it was light on the nose, without giving too much on the palate. After almost 2 hours of coaxing in the glass, the wine evolved.

The appearance of the wine is clear with medium ruby colour, and legs. On the nose it is clean with medium minus red fruits of cherry, berry, plum, mineral, and floral. On the palate it is dry with low acidity, medium minus tannin, at 13% alcohol, with a medium minus body and medium minus flavour intensity with characteristic of strawberry, red cherry and berry, plum, herb, black current leaf. The finish is medium. This is overall a good wine, can drink now with ageing potential. Aeration and decanting, is a must. 15 years wine.

Tasted at Oriental Food Restaurant, Kepong, Kuala Lumpur in Lucaris Ware.
The appearance of the wine is clear and deep purple in colour with legs. On the nose it is clean with pronounced intensity with character of vanilla, red fruits, leather, farmyard. Still developing. On the palate it is dry, with medium minus acidity, with medium plus tannin and a high alcohol of 14%. It is full body with pronounced flavour intensity. Flavours of plum, red and black fruits, farmyard, tobacco, medicinal, liquorice, pepper, savoury and finishes long. The tannin level had obviously gone up in this bottle which makes it less enjoyable now. This is a very good to outstanding wine which on this showing requires more time in the bottle, which is perhaps too young. Try again in 3 years. 91+ Points
