The 20% merlot gives this an excellent black cherry note and takes away some of the pepper of the Malbec. Great value at $13

Medium/Full bodied Pinot, dark cherries and rosemary on the nose. Pepper and good tannins.

Good fruit opening (cherry?) and cloves and pepper. I expected it to be young and need thorough decanting, but was fine as opened, just a bit a acidity. The nose is subtle but am going to try it over the next 24 hours and see how it opens up.

Rarely do I give a 90+ but this was fantastic, with dark cherry and vanilla and a long, smooth finish. It was ready after only a few minutes of decanting.

Excellent to my tastes. Hint of oak and citrus, long, round, smooth finish. Not overwhelming oak, which I prefer.

Excellent wine. Nose of dark currants and vine, taste started very peppery but opened nicely to well balanced vanilla and spice. Would purchase again. Paired well with grilled veggies and steak.

Fantastic wine, opens wonderfully and holds its nose even after 2-3 hours, dark cherries and hint of vanilla on the nose and taste, smooth satiny finish and tart around the edges. Paired well with steak and tomato salad.

Bit of oak and acid, slight buttery notes. Not a lot of distinction. Wouldn't purchase (it was a gift).

started dry and oaky/leathery. After breathing for an hour or two, mellowed considerably with more of spice coming out. Would consider buying again.

wow, so nice and well worth the price. Drank it over 3 days, just a sip after opening and then a full glass the next day, and another the next day.... A little better each day I think. definite sweet/raisin opening with each sip, but then spicy/tannin and almond with a long finish. I will have to buy another bottle and try it next year.
