Interesting cross section of views in the current TNs. I enjoyed this one immensely. Mootsie's flavor profile struck me as right on. More savory Provencal notes than California fruit but the fruit is there. Plenty mature for drinking now but age worthy.

Just starting to enter a mature phase. Ruby-garnet color and a nice bit of dark fruit. Tannins have been tamed a bit but are fully present. Drink or hold?

Really hitting it's stride now. Ripe cherry and red fruit flavors, fresh acidity and a hint of oak. Very soft tannins and an overall supple texture. Going strong after 48 hours. Too good to resist opening another one.

Approaching full maturity with some secondary characteristic just barely showing. Nice savory notes with dark fruit. Tannins have softened up. Drink or hold for several more years.

Big, rich and dark syrah. 20% grenache smooths out any rough edges. Plenty of fruit with some oak and savory notes. Very smooth and supple at this stage. Don't think it will get any better with more bottle age.

Young but still approachable. Opens with a blast of concentrated raspberry fruit that's dense but not jammy. Oak and tannins are noticeable but don't detract. Still going strong after 48 hours. Always one of the more forward, early drinking Bedrock Heritage blends but I'll hold the next one for at least 12 months.

Loads of zin spice, hints of oak. Still a bit young but a nice intro to the 2019s.

It was great a year ago and better now. Fairly ripe and plush for a Bedrock wine but definitely not over the top. ABV is restrained, tannins modest but present. Dark berry fruit. Drink now if you like the vibrancy otherwise, it will keep.

Dark and tasty. Unusual central coast "Rhone" blend with a hefty dollop of petite sirah. The PS component comes through with hints of blueberry compote and some dusty tannins. Nicely balanced with a medium body and lower acidity. Better in another year.

Nicely balanced Zin with some juicy acidity and dark berry fruit. Not the typical Lodi Zin. Opened a little early so I'll try to hold off a couple of years on the next one.

This is pulling up some impressive (and warranted) scores in the TNs. Bright gold color. Off dry to sweet character balance by acidity. More fruit than minerality. Very tasty.

The Carlisle DCV zin is always a favorite and 2018 is no exception. Juicy and ripe with plenty of red berry fruit. Hits the sweet spot between the Sonoma County and single vineyard zins. Drink now and wait on the others?

Showing some age and likely a bit past its peak but still fairly fresh and lively. A decent amount of dark blueberry fruit with plenty of meaty savory notes. Little in the way of oak or tannins at this stage. Drink up soon.

Another in your face fruit bomb - Not. Very much on the savory, peppery side of grenache. Pinot-like deep red color. Earthy aromas but none of the funk that sometimes comes through. Food friendly (Basque style chicken), old world style, moderate acidity, soft tannins. Difficult for me to score but definitely interesting and tasty. Drinking well now but many years left.

An intriguing Rhone-ish blend. Dark magenta. Very smooth and supple texture. Tannins have pretty much faded into the back ground. Balanced fruit and savory notes (opens with some bitter chocolate?). Seems fully mature at this stage.

Very tasty Riesling. Comes off as not quite bone dry. Zesty acidity, nice lime notes. Golden color. Not showing much if any bottle age at this point. An interesting contrast to both the off dry Zweiter Zweieiiger Zwilling and the Wirz Rieslings from Bedrock. This one can age for a while.

The 2017 Limerick Lane continues to impress. Up front cherry-raspberry fruit. Richly textured with unobtrusive tannins. Even better than 9 month ago. Limerick Lane is definitely near or at the top of the Carlisle single vineyard zins.

Very tasty old vine blend. More zin and red fruit character than many of the Bedrock Heritage wines. Supple texture with soft tannins, bright fruit. A little more forward than some so drinking nicely now. Minimal oxidation after 24 hours.

Beautifully balanced syrah (with 11% mourvedre). Lots of blueberry fruit with floral/herbaceous notes. More fruit than savory character. Food friendly acidity. Still young but drinking well now. BYOB at St. Anselm DC.

Agree with MillerRoad. Just a super nice white blend. Great intro to the 2019 vintage. Pale, pale yellow with fragrant floral notes and tropical fruit. No single grape in the blend comes to the fore. Enjoy.l

Very consistent from year to year. Big, ripe viognier with the characteristic Tomboy apricot-stone fruit-chalky mineral profile. A touch more acidity in 2018. The style is likely not for everyone but it's nice wine. Not one to age

Another top Carlisle PS from the Palisades site. Comes across as relatively mature at age 5. Soft tannins, medium body, just right acidity. Dark berry fruit. Holding up nicely after 48 hours.

Not flawed as in some earlier notes but not the syrah from HS. A big wine that came across as somewhat clumsy and rustic with fading fruit. I don't expect these to improve in the future.

Still going strong after 12 years. Surprised how good this one was cellaring this long. Tannins have melted away leaving a core of dark fruit and some spice notes. Just barely showing some secondary characteristic. Might have to go hands off on some other Carlisle wines. Not sure I would hold it any longer but it is quite good now.

Usually a bigger fan of this wine but the 2019 didn't seem to quite measure up. Still a nice wine but minerality and bitterness comes through more than exotic floral notes and fruit. May open up more in the future.

Not the greatest QPR but Zin does seem to make a pretty decent "blanc de noir" sparkler. Fresh, lively style with rustic bubbles.

The 2012 Pagani from Bedrock continues to impress. Seems like it has barely aged in 4 years since the last bottle. Very complex with dark red fruit and juicy acidity. There is only a hint of secondary characteristics showing at almost 10 years of age. It is likely time to drink up.

The 2016 from Papera Ranch continues to be a star of the vintage. The acidity is just right and there is a distinctive fruit note somewhere between raspberry-strawberry-cherry. Tannins are soft and unobtrusive and it finishes with a touch of oak and spice. Very drinkable and I suspect it has plateaued but should be great for several more years.

Aromas are a little subdued at first but it has beautiful, slightly tart cherry fruit. Still showing some oak and a hint of dusty tannins which fade over a few hours. Some earthiness from the mourvedre comes through. Ripe but not over done. Lovely to follow over an evening. Seems like it has a number of years left but hard to resist. Paired with cast iron ribeye. Great wine. Wish I had more.

Correct varietal notes. More floral than citrusy. Could use just a touch more acidity. Worked well with blackened fish.
