Lighter weight than past vintages. Tart acidity and abundant minerality with some floral notes. Not quite on par with previous iterations.

2 hour decant. Haldolugr's TN sums it nicely. Very fresh and lively considering the level of extraction and the 15.8% ABV. Dark berry fruit, unobtrusive oak and tannins. Certainly age worthy but mighty good at this stage. Not my spouse's style but she quite enjoyed it.

Medium bodied with good acidity and loads of minerality. A hint of bitterness on the finish. It would be interesting to try again in a few years (but who can wait?).

This has held up nicely but it is time to drink up. Plenty of dark fruit with minimal oak. Tannins are soft with medium bodied texture. Just starting to show some secondary characteristics.

Juicy, dark berry fruit with a hint of oak and earthiness. The 2019 is a winner.

Still excellent 6 months after the first bottle. Fruit forward and drinking beautifully. No need to wait. 2021s are early drinking zins.

Nice structure to it but tannins have softened up and the fruit has matured. Drinking quite nicely at this stage.

Soft and approachable, especially for a 2018. Nice balance of ripe, plum, blackberry fruit and more herbaceous notes. Drinks quite well at this point.

Supple, smooth textured syrah that is very approachable now. There is a abundant ripe dark fruit with no hint of over-ripeness. No regrets about opening this one now.

Chardonnay from HS is a bit of departure. Not at all like the Tom Boy viognier. Nicely balanced medium weight wine with food friendly acidity and a touch of oak. Showing both fruit and minerality. Likely better in a year or two.

Very much in the HS style, except it's clearly pinot noir.

Last of the Exposition series syrahs. A worthwhile endeavor, if not the best QPR. Starting to show some age with subdued fruit and secondary characteristics. Minimal tannins. I'd suggest drinking soon but all may not agree.

A rich and ripe fruited profile. Tannins are smooth and fully integrated. The dark fruit and savory notes come through. A very nice edition of the HS Late Bloomer.

Wow. Very intense and concentrated. Almost opaque with dense, ripe berry fruit. Needs quite a bit of air but opens up nicely. A slightly bigger version of the typical HS syrah. Cellar a few more years?

Medium body and some plushness in the finish. Nice lime zest and stone fruit profile. Very tasty and one of the better Central Coast Rhone whites. Nice stuff coming out of their York Mountain vineyard. No need to age this one.

Deep ruby garnet. Rich and intense fruit. Comes across as a powerful wine but goes down easy. Smooth texture with soft tannins. I picked up the "creamy" texture noted by Dale M. Good now, but still young, better in a few years?

The 2020 vintage is starting to feel like the one to drink now. This Rossi Ranch has a softer feel than 2018 or 2019. Savory notes, red fruit and typical Carlisle moderate acidity. Drinking well but no hurry on this one.

Very distinctive and hard to pin down. Chardonnay and Riesling notes (simultaneously, as opposed to a blend)? Tropical fruit with acidity that keeps things in balance. Full bodied yet showing some lithe minerality. No heat despite the 15.3 ABV. Quite approachable now, interesting to see how it ages.

Brief decant. Opens up with typical Bedrock floral-earthy aromas. Abundant dark fruit and a supple texture with soft tannins. More forward and approachable than many of single vineyard heritage wines.

A richer, riper Central Coast syrah (92%), but definitely not overdone. Dark fruited with some herbal notes, well integrated oak. Still showing some firm tannins. 3 hour decant/porterhouse off the grill. Drink or hold.

Poured after a 3 hour decant. Beautiful balance of moderate acidity, oak and dark blue fruit. The ABV is well concealed and the tannins are in the background. More fruit forward than the 2019 Grenache? No regrets about opening this one now. Paired with Santa Maria style tri-tip (seemed appropriate).

My note from 2.5 years ago still applies: Very tasty off dry to sweet Riesling (spatelese level sugars). Nice and approachable. Tropical fruit. Could use a touch more acid. Maybe better than the 2017? Still fresh.

Probably the best of the Weill a Way Exposition wine. Definitely showing some secondary characteristics at age 10. Almost creamy texture with some subtle notes of caramel (closest flavor I could come up with). More savory than fruity at this stage.
