It's great right now, but it would benefit from another year plus or a longer decant.

Opened and drank over two days. Still fantastic on day 2. Could be held for a couple more years!

Opened up and night one wasn’t anything to write home about. Let it sit for a few hours then vacuum sealed it. Four days later it was incredible. Lay this one down for a while if you have it. Or open the night before!

Took to Jak’s for steak dinner. No detailed notes but the wine was incredibly young still!

Consumer this bottle over two nights. Took about an hour to come together and held up nicely. Still plenty of ripe fruit, super well balanced and mellow. Might have another year or so until peak as it was better on night two after vacuum sealing it.

Enjoyed this bottle over two nights. At this point I think it’s at peak or maybe on the backside. If you have any more I would not hold them.

Not as good as the last one. Storage conditions may be an issue

Better than the first bottle I tried, although it’s on the downslope now.

As with most Betz wines - give this one some time. It was still evolving and definitely improving when we unfortunately found the end of the bottle! Give it at least a two hour decant.

Tasted against the 2012 Quilceda Creek Cab and the 2012 Doubleback Cab. This was the best wine with prime filet of the three. Started out pretty locked up and tart, and followed for about 4 hours. By the end, it was superb with full body and young ripe fruit! Best Betz I've had so far. It's got the stuff to last a long time.

Drinking well now. Good structure, muted fruit and a finish that rode the line between really good and unexpected.

Bottle was not good. I clearly waited too long - which is strange for a 2011 which tend to age decently.

This wine was incredible, started with some appetizers and ultimately paired with some NY Steak. It opened up within about an hour and was continuing to open up when it was unfortunately gone! Consumed over about 4 1/2 hours after opening an hour prior. Tasted against the 2012 Doubleback and this one gets a slight edge. It opened up a little earlier and developed wonderfully throughout the evening.

Really impressed with this wine, but would give the edge to the 2012 Leonetti Cab tasted same night (barely). Paired with NY Steak. Wine was really slow to open up - really needed to be paired with food. Give it about a 3 hour decant if you're going to drink it now as it really starts to sing.

Wow! Pop and pour and this one started out well and continued improving as it opened up. Still definitely young but with an hour or so decant would be incredible. really well structured with ripe fruit and not a hint of tertiary notes and an elegant lingering finish.

Great wine and very consistent with Corliss for me - which also trends a bit one dimensional - loads of dark fruit and paired wonderfully with grilled steak. I caught a hint of a tertiary note towards the end of the evening. Overall very enjoyable!

Wow! This wine is truly impressive - pop and pour and initially was bone dry although it opened up very nicely. Evolved over the next 6 hours with rich fruit, full body, and impressive structure with a lengthy finish. Definitely not near peak yet and would have loved to try this on day 2 or more, but it didn't last long enough!

Night one was more fruit bomb than anything else and not in a good way. Night three was best overall as the fruit had settled down considerably and the harshness of the wine was much better integrated. I was surprised by how this one developed after night one and would definitely recommend a decant to get this one to settle down.

Improved from the last time I had it. More integrated and balanced. Be sure to give this one about an hour to open up as there was some funk on the nose at the beginning that eventually blew off as the wine really opened up. Much better on night two.

Very good - been stored in a cellar and was definitely at peak if not a little past. The nose still had lots of fruit with a little funk. The wine was much more loaded with nearly overripe fruit than I remember.

Drank over two nights. Really coming along nicely now. Still a little rough right after opening, but within an hour or two it started to develop with a nice bouquet, medium body and rich fruit on the palate. Much better on night 2!

In contrast to the other notes below this one was on the downhill slope already. Could be bottle variation. It started out disjoint and muted on the nose, but opened up quickly and began a more rapid descent than I expected. Medium body with plenty of sediment as others noted. The fruit on the pallet quickly went from ripe to over-ripe and then the tertiary notes started to show after only a couple of hours. It held steady from there, but I was surprised as I expected the wine to be much younger given the vintage and the other comments. Overall we enjoyed it, but very surprised to find it in the "drink now" stage.

Drinking very nicely now. Vacuum sealed and much smoother on night 2 - paired nicely with homemade enchiladas and chicken noodle soup. Light/medium body, red fruit, with an almost medicinal note on night one that was gone on night 2 trending towards medium bodied. Really enjoyable.

Followed over an evening and it continued to improve while we finished it. Still drinking very young initially and continued to evolve over the night. Very nicely structured wine, great fruit and an impressive, lingering finish. At this point still very limited tertiary notes - if it's been well taken care of it's still not at its peak.

Wow. Drank over two nights and still improving. Complex cab - not as full bodied given the vintage but a lot going on. Really enjoyed this one with a lightly seasoned ribeye. Give it another year or two to develop as the fruit was still fresh and it was structured nicely. Better on day 2 by a small margin.

Enjoyed this wine. Double decanted without much time. It opened up quickly and was loaded with red and dark fruit and really smooth. Tertiary notes were beginning to show as we finished the bottle. Not a ton of complexity to the wine. Hold for the tertiary notes or drink up if you prefer the fruit.

Consumed over three days - vacuum sealed nightly - best on day 3 so it's definitely got some time ahead of it. Nice dark fruit on the palate, well structured, and didn't really expand on the palate and the finish didn't lengthen until night 3. Trending up - but this one could still use some time.

Very impressive effort - it has developed nicely since the initial tasting at the winery. Medium/full body beginning with nice fruit evolving into lingering rich finish with a healthy kick of pepper. Enjoyed over a couple days and the best days are clearly ahead. In a good place now with a decant but look forward to opening another in a year or two.
