This is a fantastic wine. Give it time to open up...it really came into its own after about 3 hours of decanting.

Fantastic. Dry, clean, crisp. One of the best, despite the age.

Bottle must have been corked. I loved this wine when I purchased it a few years ago, and hopefully the other bottles will have aged better. I will be really bummed if they all taste like this...

Significantly better than the 2010 - could be the age, but far less of a fruit bomb.

Needs to open up for a while before drinking, then a nice, somewhat complex drink.

Great value. Go-to wine later in the evening. Citrus hints, likely grapefruit. Easy, drinkable pinot.

Very young, with a bit of bite in the first taste. Good, fresh nose and very satisfying taste. Given another year or two will probably mellow out considerably, but I doubt I'll have the patience for that!

Drank right after a De LaMontanya Pinot Reserve from the same year (Russian River vs. Andersen Valley) - lighter finish and less complexity, but still a very nice bottle.

Very nice - a bit acidic, but decent nose and better flavor. Longer finish. A good departure from typical varietals, and a solid Italian. Solid, especially for the price point

Very nice wine, but needs to open up for 1/2 - 1 hour before drinking. Smooths out quite a bit with nice flavor and solid finish. Be patient, you will be rewarded.

Great zin. Caught me off guard. Much more complex than a standard zin, with less ripe fruit, less maple and more smoke. Great finish.

Completed a vertical with '06-08. The '06 had great dried fruit nose and taste, with prune and date flavors. Solid finish. The '06 was the most complex of the three. Linda's choice.

Completed a vertical with '06-08. This bottle was The most seasoned of the three. Drier than the others, with a mature note and classic Russian River finish. Hard to complain about 2007. Nathan's choice.

Completed a vertical with '06-08. This bottle was BY FAR the most fruit forward - biggest nose, full body, but did not last as long on the finish. While certainly not young, the '08 was the least complex of the three. Courtenay's choice.

Great nose and and an initial maple smell, but opened up to an amazingly tasty treat with hints of tobacco. Opened this at a wonderful restaurant and amazed the sommelier. A keeper.

This is a fantastic wine - my personal favorite vintage from the larger, non-estate productions at Donatiello. While not a "fruit bomb" the '07 brings with it a nose of raspberries and jam, and then compliments that initial perception with a taste to match. Low acidity, little earthiness and a smooth, robust finish make me happy every time I sip this one.

strong bite at first, mellowing after about an hour of breathing. Let it sit and enjoy - held up well against an indian dinner, which was remarkable.

Very smooth and inoffensive, almost to the point of not making an impression. Was surprised how this drank without making a significant impression - the last bottles were much more impressive, so I look forward to trying another bottle

I expected this to be well past it's time, but was pleasantly surprised by the depth and flavor. Just goes to show how well a quality Pinot holds up. Good stuff.

Great Pinot with solid depth and subtle undertones. As always, I can't tell you of what, but it tasted great. I'll enjoy the next two.

Drank with Robert & Brenda. Comes off as super fruity (not to mention bubbly), but don't confuse this with a run of the mill sparkling wine - it matches up well with most anything, and the dry finish is a great surprise

ASTONISHINGLY sweet, but let's be fair, this one should have been consumed 6 or 7 years ago. Almost a dessert wine at this point.

A bit acidic at this point, which didn't open up over a couple of hours once opened and when sitting with vacu-vin overnight. Was a big fan of this Rioja when we first purchased it, but not overwhelmed by this bottle.

Usually a big fan of this wine, but this one was a bit acidic. Gave it some time to open up and it still didn't do the trick for me. Really missing the undertones that I look for from a top flight Zin.

Opened this as a cooking wine, and ended up having two glasses left over. A bit thin, but still tasty. Hard to think of anything that stands out, but certainly nothing wrong with it. Pairs well with chicken, so there you go.

Solid Merlot taste - very earthy, with a decent - although not remarkable - finish. Paired with our Christmas steak dinner and supported it very well. Significant sediments, so be sure to strain it before drinking.

One of my favorite rosés. Dry enough with a comparatively long finish for a non-red. These folks really know how to pull the flavored together, and the clean finish caps off deeper notes than expected.
