12/26/23, 11:52 AM - I had it stored at 55 degrees then a 10 min ride to a restaurant where it sat on the table for 30-60 min so I assume 65 - 70 degrees.
12/23/23, 6:51 AM - Planning on opening up a bottle for Christmas. Any suggestions on decanting, etc?
8/21/23, 11:40 AM - I usually crack these open at the 10 year mark but felt that the 13s needed more time and I’m down to my last 12, thus decided to open the 14. I double decanted it about 4-5 hours before drinking it so be sure to give it some air! I’ll for sure keep getting better with time but was super enjoyable now.
4/12/23, 7:31 AM - I see you’ve opened a lot of these. Any advice on decanting? Is it necessary/helpful? For how long?
4/12/23, 8:59 AM - Great, thanks!!
3/11/23, 1:18 PM - Is it worthwhile to pop open the cab or is that infanticide?
2/13/23, 10:57 AM - I’d love to get Mark’s take on this, but IMHO, a three hour decant then watching each glass evolve throughout the evening is the way to go.
2/15/23, 10:55 AM - Any updates? How was it?
2/4/23, 4:05 PM - The DiConstanzo. Di Co is the second label.
2/4/23, 9:50 PM - Yep, the Farrella
9/11/22, 12:20 PM - Yep! I bet this will be exquisite in 5 years time
6/1/22, 6:27 PM - Yep, I wonder why it doesn’t get more love??
1/13/22, 7:11 PM - Thanks Crazy how good it is given the relatively large production. Just thinking about it makes me wish I had some now. I suppose that’s the sign of a good wine!
12/14/21, 5:18 PM - I get it I really wanted to like it more than I actually did. I’d take a well crafted napa cab over this any day.
12/14/21, 5:58 PM - Totally agree
10/24/21, 9:40 AM - I should have been more specific. I usually drink BdM; but wanted something food friendly, Italian and non Sangiovese just to mix things up a bit. Perhaps you are right about an off bottle, otherwise just not a fit for my palate. Live and learn I suppose.
10/24/21, 10:09 AM - Will do! Thanks.
9/7/21, 8:14 PM - Fair point!
8/30/21, 9:28 PM - Nope. Cork looked fine. No clue what the issue could be.
8/11/21, 7:53 PM - The nose had a gorgeous bouquet. That was consistent with each glass. We drank it over 2-2.5 hours and each glass was better so could have used more air. Glad I opened it to get the experience but would suggest holding off for a while (if possible).
7/25/21, 9:38 AM - Agreed. The ‘10 was spectacular. Not sure where in CA you are but I believe KL Wines has the ‘16.
12/27/20, 9:44 AM - I think some of the “heavy hitter” BdMs still need several years. For the others, I think the window is opening. I find the 12s are drinking better than 04/06/10’s which are still improving.
12/27/20, 9:59 AM - If that’s the case, try to get your hands on some older BdM vintages like ‘01 or ‘07. It’s amazing how good the older stuff can be once it starts integrating.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
