11/17/23, 10:08 PM - Must have hit flawed by accident. Thank you for the comments, I have made a correction
7/14/23, 1:24 PM - I agree about loving everything from Lucien Crochet. Fantastic producer!
11/5/22, 7:19 PM - What was the Garagiste mystery price?
9/10/22, 4:58 PM - From the tasting notes you posted, it sound like you got a flawed bottle. In the future you may want to consider not giving a score to a flawed bottle. There is actually a box you can check on your tasting note that says "flawed or defective." When I open a bottle that is corked or a wine that I have had multiple times and know that the bottle is way off the mark, I just mark it as flawed
2/16/21, 11:13 PM - So did you end up preferring the 2016 vintage of this wine to the 2015 vintage, or did you like the 2015 the best?
2/18/21, 6:31 PM - Thanks, I'm trying to decide if I want to grab some more bottles of the 2015 before they are gone or wait for the 2016 vintage. Thank you for the advice.
11/16/19, 10:39 PM - Any chance you ended up with a flawed bottle? I don't generally score a wine when something is flawed or off with my bottle. CellarTracker actually has a box you can check for "flawed" wine instead of giving the wine a score.
6/1/18, 9:17 AM - Very true. As I only have one more bottle left, I'm curious to see if more age would make a significant improvement on this wine. I'll also continue to pay attention to the future note on CT and with the proper amount of nudging, I might be swayed to open my last bottle earlier : )
9/13/16, 4:51 PM - you should consider yourself very lucky that you received any wine at all from Premier Cru. See this article for more info. http://www.berkeleyside.com/2016/07/28/how-did-berkeley-wine-store-accrue-70m-in-debt/
9/17/16, 10:57 AM - Yes, the Premier Cru owners John Fox and Hector Ortega should rot in hell or be subjected to castration at the very least! I was fortunate enough to actually receive 5 of the last 6 bottles I ordered from them. Bank of America visa was kind enough to dispute the charge for the missing bottle and refund me for the bottle I never received, but many other people I know were not as lucky. I have learned a valuable lesson from my experience with PC, and now I try to only order wines that are "in-stock" at merchants, pay using a credit card that will take my side on a disputed charge, and request shipping at the first available window. Most important, I'll now choose a merchant with a stellar customer service reputation even if it means paying more for my wine.
3/30/16, 1:53 PM - Thanks for your comments BPR and Jockman. I bought a few bottles and wanted to pop one early to get a baseline and to see how the wine responded to oxygen. BPR, what do you think is the proper window for the Clos du Betz?
10/13/14, 11:20 PM - this might be one of the top ten funniest wine reviews I've read on CellarTracker so far. Cheers.
12/1/12, 12:32 AM - dsgris, thanks for your note, I'll be sure to take a chance on the next few WA reds I open and see how they evolve over several days.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
