in this moment a wunderfull noise of red and dark berries, a lot of tobacco and dark chocolate. I was impressed, that this vintage is so open in this moment.
In the mouse there you can taste the beginning of the drinkability of this wine. With every minute it will open a little bit more.
For full tasting it needs another 5-10 years, but its now a big start with a lot lot of potential.
wunderfull 95 points, potential of 96..

A lot of black cherry and a bit of bitterness.
On the next day, the wine was still very closed. I will wait another year for the next bottle.

just a simple idea of drinking this wine. So, there was no time to prepare with decanting of hours.
The wine is still very young. The noise is now complex, but the wood/tobacco/vanilla is in the front.
It smells, like you know the Percarlo for years. dark, dark berries, beautiful. I like the wine, when it is not so round, like f.e. vintage 2007.
It is going to be better and better in the next years...

dark berries, tobacco, wood and very soft tannins for Percarlo. I guess, it is now the time to drink this wine. Much early, than I expected. Its not my favorite vintage of this wine, because is to soft for me. But this is personaly taste.
If you want to have a sangiovese soft and elegant on the top level in the world, you should drink this one.
Open before 3-5 hours recommended!

Again, unfortunatly too young. The noise was wonderful, a lot of berries, esp. cherries. The taste is full of tannins, fruit is in the background. After 2 hours waiting, also decanting the wine was starting to open. More and more of the fruit was coming. Also tabacco, together with some hints of vanilla. wonderful wine, but again too young. Waiting another year!

I opened the double magnum one day before. A little bit closed, but a lot of potential.
One day later on the event the wine was in perfect conditions.
A very concentrated and full bodied wine. A lot of blackberries and black currant, cherries. A lot of complexity. The tannins are not like butter, but part of soft. This was the impression of structur of this wine, which I liked.
It was very close to be a perfect wine. Perfect moment.

wow. opened and after a half day drunk. Its fantastic. In the beginning there is a bit of elegance, but after some seconds there the well known structure. rustical, power. Very balanced now, I have a lot of dark berries and in the end deep, deep dark chocolate.

After 5 hours of decanting I will say this was the first bottle, which was ready to drink. Unfortunatly my last bottle.
Very deep, a lot of tabacco, cherry and power, power, power.

during written this text, i increased the points again. You can now enjoy this wine in best conditions.

double-decanted 4 hours before drinking. It helped, but the wine is still very young. A lot of potential. There are a lot of black currant, a lot of tannis. Good advice to a meat.

This time, i waited a long time before i drank the wine. It's not like 2004, 2006 or 2007. But I have it in my cellar. I have to drink it. just kidding!
A very good wine from this winery. Its again very close and this time, i opened the bottle to look for the status of the wine. Please wait, und drink older vintages, which are perfect now.
The potential of the wine looks like 2 points higher.

I drank it on two evenings. On the first the wine was completly closed. On the second, there was more of the expected wine. A lot of berries, but with a fantastic strenght, but also on the second day, the wine was too closed. Too much tannins in the front in this moment. I will wait another year or so to the next bottle.

very deep colour. In the beginning very closed, with time it's going to be better and better. A lot of dark berries and tabacco. A original Percarlo, like I know. Remember me to earlier vintages with not so many fruits but more of the traditional "rustical" Percarlo. This is what I like!
But please, let it in you cellar for some time. There is potential for another 2 points I guess...

i opened this bottle today. There are a lot of dark berrries, plum inside, a lot of tannins, also after a while of opening. The typical Percarlo is there, but its in this moment very closed. I will give this wine another 2-3 years.
I think there are a lot of potential for this wines. It will make a good step in the next time...

I'm not sure, we should wait for one or two year, or is this the perfect Point.

I will suggest, to drink it together with some meat, because it is a very strong wine.

I was looking for this wine for two years, to buy the bottle for a good Price. After I stored the wine for another two years to wait for a good Moment.
Now it was the time and the right Moment to enjoy the wine. Together with a porterhouse Steak it was nearly perfect.

A powerful, classic Sangiovese. My expectation were very high, but the wine was like this. Well balanced, very harmonic and a lot of fruits. Wood in the back.

Thanks to Boris, that he drank less than the half bottle.

oh, my good, this wine is in a fantastic conditions. wonderful black currant, black berry and very balanced. Hope to enjoy this wine for a longer time.

wunderful wine. Good noise, good taste. A typical Percarlo. I'm surprised to the difference to the bottle some weeks ago. Today the wine presents with a good balance, not completly open, but very fruity with a lot of wood in middle, not in the front anymore. It is a very good wine, but it will be going to be better and better. There is a lot of potential.

The legs are Medium. It smells like Blackberry, Black currant (cassis), Cherry, Toast, and Coffee. It tastes like Black currant (cassis), Black Pepper, Vanilla, and High Toast. The body is Full. The wine has Leathery texture. The wine finishes Short.

It was from a Magnum bottle and the wine was completly closed in the beginning, after hours, it was going better. But there are potential, but it will take a long time, I guess. NOT open before 2014!!! (for Magnum!)

I opened the bottle and there was the flavour of green gras, of goosberry, of grapefruit in the air. The room was full of it. Was amazing.
In the taste, there their were less notes of this, but enough to remember, what wine I had in the glass. Good accidity, good minerality. Only thing, a little bit to short in the end.
I bought the bottle for 15 Euro, was a nice evening.

I drank the wine on christmas and was expecting a lot because of old experience. The wine was low on accidity, less than I could remember on the last vintages.
the good things. nice flavour of gooseberry, grapefruit und green peper. Nice drinking with the same flavours. A good wine together with salad or a soup.

The legs are Slow. It smells like Blackberry, Black currant (cassis), and Cherry. The body is Full. The wine finishes Long.

wonderful wine. Today a little bit to closed, but not decanted and I'm a little bit sick. After a while it is going on and on. The wine is great.
