Opened with a few of the boys at Mike's just because. After the 43 year old nose cleaned up a bit this was very enjoyable. Bottle got better and better the longer it was opened. Wasn't that hard for the five of us to finish this off. The wine is right in a sweet spot and this bottle felt like it was only going to get better over the next 10+ years.

My wife and I had this with dinner and with a decade in age thought this was one of the better chardonnays we have had in awhile. I don't know how much longer this holds up but no reason to wait if you still have some. A real beauty, such a treat. Also had a '15 Eastside yesterday while playing golf. Very good as well. I really think Aubert wines benefit from at least 5 years of age on them.

Wow! Just a tremendous bottle. Silky smooth and light on its feet but still showing nice complex cab franc fruit in spite of its age. Many would guess Bordeaux if tasted blind. Had at Todd's for Eagles (won) v Cowboys.

Opened last Saturday with small group at the wine club. Bottle was consumed relatively fast as it was well received. Fruit was a bit muted but nice. Alcohol came in around 12.5%. It's fun when one of these older wines bought on auction works out.

Opened kind of late at the house during the US Open bash. Pure, delineated, balanced. So good. This is what a young cali cab should taste like. An absolute bargain compared to other big name "cult" wines.

Tasted multiple times at the Original Wine Club two nights ago. Just a beautiful wine, everything in the right place. Preferred over some much bigger names on the table. While still holding in there I would drink any remainders sooner than later...not going to get any better.

Shared a bottle last night at John's place with a giant bone rib eye. Wine was fantastic. A bit on the jammy side but not overly so. Very fresh and still youthful. Thought this was better and more balanced than the Shaffer Hillside from the same vintage that I had last night.

Opened last Saturday during UFC fight night at Godstein's. It was such a beautiful departure from the big cali cabs opened early on. Bottle was in good shape. My first non-Guigal La La and I was very pleased how good it was. The age allowed all of the secondary flavors to shine. Good fruit, good acidity, great wine.

Pnp at home to have with a Flannery Wagyu NY strip last Friday. Wine was flawless right out of the gate. This bottle had just the right balance of age, freshness, eucalyptus, and good old Napa Valley floor cab flavor. This was in my top three all time steak and wine parings (if not #1). So good. Here's to you Dad.

Opened at WCC and finished at home. Medium bodied but full fun Bordeaux flavor with signature cigar box notes. Nice pure and delineated wine.

Opened at home and consumed over two hours. Recently purchased at Spectrum, bottle and cork in decent shape. Wine showed obvious age but still lots of life. Decent amount of Bordeaux funk. Two out of the five thought the wine was corked. None left at the end of the night. All and all not bad for what was once probably an $8 - $10 bottle.

Opened at a white truffle dinner at Barolo Café. This was one of the WON's with many other terrific offerings. Just a bit closed at first, the wine, as other posts have mentioned, opened up to show a nice burst of Nebbiolo aromas and flavors while remaining light on its feet. To me this is what Barolo should taste like.

Crazy wine. Comes in a wood box and a tester vile. Super concentrated and young...will age forever. Probably one of the most exotic and complex things I have ever had. Think Port but thicker and wider array of fruits.

Tasted along side some pretty amazing wines and was my WOTN. Great mouth feel with gobs of fruit and overall real nice balance.
