Purchase at recommendation by store as replacement for Rombauer. Good oak. Served bottles to four or five guests in past month each was quite impressed with excellent taste and hint of butter but not pronounced on the tongue.

2006 Excellent Pinot...probably needs more time before opening the other bottles. Decanted one hour before meal and the flavor held solid throughout the meal. Thanks to Leon Perakis for recommendation

Very fine Pinot and great for the Holiday spirit. Gave it about an hour decanting and found in more smooth than I had expected. Lots of great flavor and pleasant finish.

Wonderfully rich fruit in this up front cab. One of my favorites. Again enjoyed with a well marinated steak. The wine held up well with great taste and perfect on the palate. Held one glass in nitrogen for drinking following day. Excellent as a pre-dinner wine as well. More sediment in the bottle than I had experienced previously

Excellent Bordeaux Blend. My second purchase following an earlier case. To my taste variety of fruits and subtle taste of oak. I usually decant about an hour before pouring. Great nose and a little more tannin on the finish than I remember in earlier bottling of this tempting blend. You might have fun having your guests try to figure out the components of the blend. (they are clearly marked on the label).

Shared with friends with complex shrimp preparation and cheese. Wonderful how it could handle those flavors and still come up with its usual rich buttery flavor that is easy to drink.

Wonderful Chardonnay, it reminds me of my original reaction to Romnbauer's fine white when I first tasted it their cellars in 1996. It woke me up again to Chardonnay thanks to its big buttery flavor classic with OAK and gentle with the not overwheming fruits...various citrus and apple especially Great in the mouth and gentle to taste to the end. Once again...my favorite Charnonnay but not for those who do not like the richness of the flavor.

I was suprised by the intense flavor of this Chardonnay. My guests like it more than I did because I prefer a more buttery Char.

Really crisp...nice apples and pears. I think this is an especially good Pinot Grigio. Most of them leave me wanting something else. This is nice on the nose and quite satisfying as a sipping wine.

Delicious spicy red from Argentina. It is full bodied with a nice smooth texture. Lots of fig and berry with a spicy finish and smooth tannins. Very pleasant wine served with a meal of contrasting cheeses and salads with subtle home made balsamic and olive oil dressings with additional spices. Nuts, salami tasting menu and this wine held up fine. No surprise since this is a well crafted Argentine Malbec. Sharing the wine with me was a guest who found vanilla and smoky tastes in the finish.

Delicious wine well decanted before tasted. Chocolate and berry aromas and flavors. nice hint of vanila and a little earthy but great with soft tannis for the finish. Glad that I had two bottles to enjoy Needed about twenty minutes to really open up but well worth the wait.

Pleasantly suprised by this pleasingly mature wine with lively bubble and a very smooth palate. Lots of fruit in the composition with apples and berries predominating. We had two bottles one as a before dinner toast and then with a complex shrimp salad main course with a very sharp sauce. The Roederer held up very well through the meal and pleased the four of us who were enjoying the wine..and food.

Enjoyable taste but not as special as I have felt previous Justin Syrah had been. I think this was too young to drink at this time. Perhaps the food (Italian) was too overpowering. I would like to have the tannins less prominent.

Rare red to find. Most would expect this as a added wine but it is great to taste by itself. Really rich purple-red in color. Nice spicy touches to the wine and a little more tannins that I would like. I do think this is one to put aside for a few years because it has so much complexity and it would be an unusual treat for the future.

Wonderful special Chardonnay with lots of sparking mineral taste. I agree with previous taster that this is a more enjoyable wine than the regular Justin Chardonnay. At least it is more to my taste.

Always a perfect wine for anyone who appreciates a well crafted Red. Smooth and modestly fruity, rich currents and blueberry tastes and aroma with slight leathery impression and insignificant tannens at finish. Wonderful for special times.

I was a little hesitant about this very young Zin but I enjoyed it very much paired with a spicy meatloaf at Cindy's Backyard Restaurant. Aromas of pepper and fruits obvious to me and my companions. Suprisingly complex blend of flavors like rasberry, apricots and raisins. Easy tannins with a lingering finish. Not my first choice for a Zinfandel but it worked with the food very well.

Very special ..supple but velvety in taste..peper and coffee notes mixed with lush berry flavors that linger just the right amount and lead to a fine long finish.
Several days after initial tasting I sampled this again at my daughter's home. She had purchased the wine at the same time and reminded me that Robert Parker had strongly positive comments about this wine and that I may not have said enough. It is great and significantly individualistic to be able to hold its own in the flood of excellent red wines from Napa/Sonoma and much of the rest of the West Coast. The only con I can think of is the price.. I do think it is over-priced.

Five different Bordeaux varietals contribute to the wonderful taste of this intriguing mix. Plum and current flavors with a hint of coffee finising with polished tannins. Probably lots of time to enjoy this one which has some of my favorite extras like Petite Verdot and Malbec.

I loved this wine when I was introduced to it by Mr. Rombauer in the cellar. I like the buttery flavor. We have probably enjoyed three cases of the various years and this one may have waited a little too long....but who knows.
