Fantastic wine. Wow. It was drinking beautifully. Well proportioned, with nice black cherry and blackberry notes. A great graphite/gravel edge. Nice lengthy finish and acidity was really pleasing.

Really didn’t show well this time around. The fruit and acid didn’t jive. It had a ripe dark fruit with bright acid that never really came together. Haven’t had anything taste quite like this before, so not sure what happened.

Inky dark purple. Ripe berries and only a touch of oak notes. Nice length. One of the bottles was corked.

9/24/18, 7:28 PM - Good question. I’m not sure I can answer this one. My impression is that it was made to drink young, with the features on the fruit. I did not get the sense that there was a lot left to intiegrate like you can feel with younger norther Rhône’s and some Syrah from the northwest US or Paso. I also don’t personally understand how the Petite Syrah affects this. So long story short, it certainly has plenty of time to be drunk, but I don’t think it will become much more either.
