Dark cherry, bright cherry stone spice, beautiful fragrance,
Ripe dark cherry, plums, boysenberry, with powerful spice, cherry stone zest , violets and whole bunch, rich and complex. Youthful structure, finishing with very fine but strong tannins. In a great place but will age further well.

Very pale gold, youthful colour. Brilliant lustre.
Gentle refined fragrance, spice and flowers.
Peach, honey, stone fruit, citrus zest, all of which are delivered in a silky refined style. Finishing impression is minerality, and very long. Absolutely delicious, and still very youthful. Year’s ahead of it.

Extremely pale, barely coloured.
Lovely fragrant spice and earthy fruit.
Has surprisingly fruit forward flavours coloured by delicious spice. Not overly sweet, has a lovely savoury edge. My style of rose. Great acid and power on the finish.

Rich, earthy cherry red.
Highly fragrant, ripe cherry, damson, dark spice, sweet leather and cherry stone spice.
Medium weight, good intensity for its age, but starting to dry out a bit on the finish. Typical BP flavours, rich plum and damson with a hint of rhubarb. Rich and ripe, with nice leathery complexity,enjoyable. Structure is still holding together across the palate, only the finish is starting to fail. Enjoyable but clearly on the decline.

Deeply coloured, red rim.
Beautifully fragrant, cassis graphite and a hint of forest.
Silky smooth, weightless, glides across then bites with well balanced acid and super fine tannins. Flavours are classic Bordeaux, cassis, graphite, tobacco leaf complexity, a hint of mocha and leather. Delicious drinking but will hold for decades.

Pale, light rim, pure red.
Gentle red berry and tar spice fragrance, refined, lovely floral notes.
Delicate up front, beautifully refined, sweet red and black berries with dark spice and floral elements all perfectly integrated. Tannins are fine and silky but leave a furry impression, overall structure is light but recognisably Barolo. Not really marked by earthy notes, driven by sweet fruit and spice, delicious drinking.

Deep purple cherry.
Somewhat closed nose, scents of ripe dark berries and licorice.
Silky texture, very fine tannins and nice acidity.
Ripe dark cherry and plum with a light raspberry edge. Delicious dark spice, with any oak influence totally integrated. Super smooth, but a bit reticent, needs five or ten to open up, nevertheless gorgeous drinking now.

Rich fragrance.
Heavy style, intense but almost oxidative flavours, honeycomb, oak char, overpowering the otherwise good fruit. After 2 days it softened up a bit. Not amazing.

Violets, raspberries, bright cherry, nice intensity.
Light to medium weight. Darker berries, oak spice reasonably well integrated. Rich, lovely fruit, on the darker side to classic chambolle. Needs some more time.

Deep rich ripe dark berries, very ripe, cool clean floral notes.
Inky dark berries, blueberries, violets, ripe cassis. Cool pure flavours, nothing remotely green, rich and velvety texture. At least five years from its peak. Delicious.

Good condition, wet cork, minimal ullage.
Ruby red, pale edge, no brick.
Stewed berries, bright notes, lots of earthy spice pointing to the age.
Nice deep cherry and raspberry flavours, cherry stone spice, rhubarb notes, a nicely aged burgundy. Acidity and tannins are smooth but supportive, still tastes quite alive despite being past its peak.
Good drinking still.

Beautiful white gold or lemon pith lustre.
Spice and citrus zest, nicely melded, smooth.
Lemon curd, white flowers, honeysuckle, talc, a little orange zest on the finish. Nicely balanced, oak well integrated, acidity good. Very nice now but has the structure for another five years easily.

Medium weight ruby red, pale rim.
Gorgeous rich high-toned fragrance, red and black berries, crushed herbs, dark graphite and licorice spice, hints of leather and earth. Beautiful nose.
Medium weight, silky texture, has definitely softened, all the flavours come through from the nose, with a focus on crushed herbs and cassis. There is aged leather notes but in the background. Delicious, will age further.

Pale lemon, with only a slight hint of age.
Fragrance of lemon curd, cottage cheese, honeysuckle and pear.
Flavours follow the nose, citrus zest and lemon curd with some pith and talc. Acidity is good and length persistent. Has an aura of age, softer flavours, a little crimped, a mellowness, but still the bright citrus and minerality shines. Delicious drinking but on its gradual slide.

Lightly fragrant, peach and mineral zest, tightly coiled, no overt oak.
A delicate and refined style of Chardonnay, has nice peach fruit intensity, ripe and sweet, the oak is gentle and well integrated, acidity balanced. Some fine spice on the finish. Overall impression is refined, tightly coiled, with aging potential. Delicious drinking now, but will be fascinating to see how it develops.

Deep red, dark core, light rim.
Beautiful pure red and black berries, violet florals, graphite spice, blueberry notes.
Dark ripe cassis, blood plum, damson, wood smoke, lightly spiced graphite and tar. Youthful flavours but a middle aged structure, tannins are smooth and furry, unobtrusive acidity, finishes velvety and reasonably long. Drinking well now, could age a few more years but quite possibly near its peak.

Ripe red cherry fragrance, hint of blueberry, gentle spice, not much evidence of development.
Bright red cherry flavour, blueberry essence, floral, with a dark spicy edge. Structure is light to medium bodied, relatively soft and not overly intense. silky middle, finishing with fine chalky tannins. Overall impression is positive, not a powerhouse but drinks well, no need for further aging.

Lanolin, crushed herbs, honeysuckle, lemon zest. Strong flavours, leads with spice and honey, some nice crushed herb notes, citrus peel, ripe melons, honeysuckle. Ripe fleshy finish, more rounded mouthfeel, drinks nicely now but a few years extra will help.

Initially quite reserved. Opened up to reveal lovely floral notes and perfumed red berries.
Has the delicacy expected, refined in style, pure red berries and soft spice. Not much sign of development, faint hints of earth add complexity. Soft, silky, refined texture, has good acidity and gives a sense it has years ahead of it.

Gorgeous ripe mixed berries and dark spice, seamlessly integrated. More flesh than your average CDR, velvety, extremely smooth, impressive length. Blue and red fruits, silky tannins, refined acidity, nicely structured. This could definitely age but it is excellent drinking now.

Deep rich fragrance, dark berries, spicy, forest floor richness.
powerful for its age, great depth of flavour, this has aged beautifully. Earthy richness seamlessly integrated across a deep fruit-driven palate, darker berries and spice. Not too 'heavy', but with genuine flavour intensity and superb length. Worth the wait, but clearly this has the stuffing to go longer.

Deeply coloured, hint of brick, younger looking than 27.
Beautifully aged Barolo. Dark spice, tar, licorice, graphite, seamlessly integrated with deep ripe red, black and blue fruits. Violet florals, salty, pure long fruit flavours. Tannins are silky for a Barolo, and do not dominate impressions. Not really earthy or gamey, just fruit and spice. Complex, youthful, rich. Special.

Stone fruit and cream, pulpy, well integrated oak, but still with a strong tight core. Fresh herbs, lemon zest, but light to medium intensity, not heavy. Delicious drinking now but 5 years from peak.

Fruit flavours drive the impression, rich and sweet, but with excellent structure, finessed, lithe, refined. Primary fruits still set the profile, gentle secondary flavours only, youthful. Hints of dark tar spice, licorice, graphite. Silky, stylish and delicious.

Bright yellow, gold lustre, light.
Mineral zest, honeysuckle, jasmine, rose water.
Beautifully long even palate, finishing with firm but matching acidity for the fruit intensity, peach, nectarines, tropical fruit and a zest of lemons, excellent structure. Very intense fruit but not cloying due to the fresh acidity, and as a whole it seems to have integrated nicely. Perfect drinking now but possibly ageless.

Lightly honeyed fragrance, soft.
Honey, ripe fruits, mineral spice, but in a rather muted style, not overly expressive. Structure is also a bit soft and gentle, without the usual presence. Nothing oxidative, just feels like this one is past its best. The warm vintage no doubt an influence here.

Very deeply coloured.
Dark plum, raisin, ripe cassis, a little pepper.
Intense but silky smooth. Barossa shiraz flavours but tightly coiled, still very primary fruit flavours, well integrated oak char and spice. More ripe berries and less fruitcake, but the plummy fruit is delicious, and the eventual complexity seems latent at this stage. Some crushed herbs, lots of tar, ink and iron filings. The lush style and polish is most striking. Drinking beautifully for one so young.

a blend of softly aged pear with a hint of lemon, has a nice richness to it, classic minerality, plus some honey in the taste and texture.

Sweet rich and earthy, dark berries, plums, smooth and creamy texture, hints of crushed herbs, very fine but distinct tannins. A very well preserved example. Sweetness dominates, and the structure supports it well. On a nice mature plateau.
