Drinking well now. Did a 6hr decant, smooth, fruit still great, soft tannins. Lasted well over three nights, paired with lamb first night, pasta second, and just enjoying with snacks on third.

Waited too long on this one - some fruit remains, but overwhelmed by astringent harsh edge - did not improve second night

On the downslope- ok on first night, but fruit is thin and its edging toward bitter - not really drinkable second night.

This was not as good as earlier vintages we’ve had. Almost a beer-like flavor, stronger frizzance, with little fruit sense.

Fruit pretty much gone. Still tannic, but faded and not drinkable. Kept too long, one more left, maybe it’ll be better.

Not really corked, but flabby and a bit astringent on day one - let it sit a day, astringency is gone, but not much fruit left, just not really worth drinking. Possibly this bottle, will try another in a few months.

This one was my last, and it was past its drinking window by a fair amount. Still some flavor, but just not enough to drink

This is drinking well. 3 hour decant the first night, still a bit tight, but paired well with lamb. Second night is much improved, mellowed out, still good fruit. I’ll hold my last bottle for another year I think.

Still a good table wine with pasta - loosing its freshness a bit, and fruit is less present, but holding up surprisingly well.

This was somewhat astringent - possibly a bad bottle, maybe just in an unfortunate phase of cellaring. I’m going to give the next bottle another year or two.

Showing age a bit, good on first night, but fell off to be pretty flabby by second.

Drinking very well with 2-3 hour decant. Held up and continued to develop over two more days - has more years left for sure, but is lovely now

Restaurant purchase, opened and decanted. This opened up fairly quickly over the course of the dinner - a bit "dusty" and tight at opening, smoothing out to be an excellent pair with wild Guinea Fowl. I would say this benefits from food quite a bit, particularly early on - could well develop over a longer decant, but we didn't give it the chance, it was too good with the food to leave any behind.

Drinking well with short decant. Faded over two days though, drink over one to two nights at most

This one had a cork that seemed a little out of position - astringent taste - first time we’ve had a Rudius turn bad.

Still good, but either going through a flat phase or in decline. Tannin is still strong, so it may still improve, but fruit is weaker and it’s a little flabby.

Lovely deep purple, fruit forward, fresh and smooth. Short decant and return to bottle, very approachable immediately. Had with pizza first night, then after overnight in bottle, with salmon on second night - paired nicely with both.

Bad bottle - I think spoiled by heat or something. No cork, so not “corked” but foul taste and some residue in bottle. Hope the next one of two will be ok.

We had this in a restaurant in Amsterdam - it was a 1/2 bottle, opened up nicely over about a half hour, but would have liked to have decanted for another hour or more to see where it would go, I suspect this will develop nicely over a few more years, particularly in a larger bottle.

Near the end of its window. Was still quite good first night, but after 2 nights sitting in fridge, definitely had lost edge and gone a bit off. Don’t wait to finish any remaining bottles.

This first release from Mountain Tides is very nice - even young, but tannin and alcohol suggest it will age well also. Deep purple, silky mouth feel, long finish. Fruit forward and a bit tannic on opening, two hours in decanter opened it up but still a bit tight (but not harsh) on second day. Food friendly, paired well with clams on night one and pasta on second. Will hold remaining bottles for a year or so.

Maybe just bottle variation, this one was best at about an hour after open, by 4 hours, it was going a bit off. Last of our bottles, previous three had more fruit and lasted well over several days.

Has potential, still too early really. Restaurant purchase - their listed 2009 turned out to be a “missprint”. It opened a bit, and wasn’t bad with swordfish. 2nd night, I decanted for an hour or so, and it was nice with lamburger- needs at least another year in the bottle, but seems as if it will age well.

Still very nice with a short decant. Two days after it was not holding up - probably at about the peak of the cellar curve and ready to drink up now.

Bought at restaurant, surprisingly open on pop and pour. Paired with both beef tenderloin and halibut. Still structured, smooth and fruit is strong, medium long aftertaste.
Took home, two days later had continued to open and was a great pair with salmon.

Bought at restaurant, menu said 2012, turned out they had 2014. Too young, tight and tannic at restaurant, left in decanter at home overnight, opened nicely for dinner, paired well with seared duck first night(even without sufficient open time) and nicely with lamb next night. I would wait at least two more years to open another, but great promise.

Agree with other notes - this wants to sit for a few more years. Strong tannins and acidity, long decant helps. Potential is there, fruit forward, mouthfeel is silky, but I'm going to let my other bottles sit for a few more years.

A bit funky on opening, but settled down with an hour in the decanter. Steadily improved as I drank over about another hour. Mature and complex, fully developed fruit, jammy, silky mouthfeel. Still some tannins, not at all bitter. These 375ml bottles have been very good to this wine.

Young still, floral notes, deep red, strongish tannins and bright acidity. Holds up well to seasoned pork loin, wants an hour or so air before drinking. Holds well into second day, I think I'll give it another year before opening the next one, but don't regret opening this one at all.

Nose is fruit, a bit of smoke, some floral. Silky on mouth, mineral, a bit of acidity, tannin is a little forward on first night, subdued on second. Drinking well, but feels like there is more to come with a few mote years in the bottle. Decanted three hours first night - strong berries and earth on opening, smoother after decant. Paired nicely with a chicken chile and with a white pasta sauce second night.

Bright wash of cherry on the nose on opening - I decanted for 4 hours (not intended, traffic was tough for my wife getting home!) - the heavy fruit in the nose subsided, but acids are still presenting fine - very smooth and silky, long finish. Also noted the somewhat tannic almost bitter finish, but at 4-5 hours it was a lovely match with a Pollo en Mole sauce dinner. Looking forward to seeing where it has arrived tomorrow evening. Drinking nicely, but I agree with others that it deserves another few years in the bottle to see where it goes.

Purple/red shading to rust on edges, legs medium fast. Floral notes, bit of forest floor, almost dusty hint. Fruit there, but subdued. I gave it about two hours in decanter, mouth is silky, sensual. Tannins are present but not overwhelming, mineral builds with time on mouth, surprisingly long finish. Holds nicely to second night, pairs well with sushi and teriyaki on first night, scallops and spinach salad on second night. This is drinking nicely, I think it will develop for another few years as well, I'm going to hold a few of these out for at least two years.

Dark black shading to purple, very thin nose, initially jammy, but fading in the decanter. Mineral and perfume in the mouth, slow legs, finish is clean, not overly long. Tannins are not heavy, but definitely there. Drinking well, very satisfying. Second day, still very nice - went well on first night with fish, and a nice companion to a Caesar salad on the second. Fair amount of sediment in the bottle for a young wine, so be prepared on opening. I decanted for 4 hours, but didn't taste on opening to see where it would be for pop and pour, maybe on the next one.

Earthy forrest floor initial nose - settling down to subdued jammy fruit. Nicely paired with grilled tuna and broccoli, (decanted for about 2 hours). This still has room for a year or so in the bottle, but is absolutely ready for drinking now.
