For half the price of the flagship Amuse Bouche (which I had last night), this is a lovely wine and worth picking up. I believe that price does not always dictate quality. I drink Baron Philippe de Rothschild Cabernet Sauvignon Escudo Rojo Reserva regularly, which I usually get for around $12, and I love it. That is my 2 cents. One last thing is the 3D label is fun and a great conversation piece.

Nice wine but not as interesting or as nuanced as I had hoped.

2016 The Hilt Pinot Noir Estate Sta. Rita Hills
Smoky underbrush nose. Dark cherry, violet and earth palate. Firm structured spline with moderate tannin. Earthy finish medium plus 20-30 seconds. Very impressive just needs time or paired with robust food. Reminds me of Kistler if a less silky version.

2017 Kutch Pinot Noir Bohan Vineyard Sonoma Coast
This was excellent last night. Nothing to retaste today so let me just recall from memory. Like the previous bottles I have opened, this is on the elegant side. The color is a light rose in tone. The weight, just medium as it rolls across the palate. The fruit? Watermelon, cherry, with some rose petal and spice. And, 12% alcohol. All together, this is my kind of Pinot Noir. There is no black or blue fruit to be found, just a red-fruited wine that is balanced, lithe, delicious. Excellent Bohan.

Wow... After having the first bottle, I cleaned out all the Costco's around me. Great QPR for $50. Drinks great now. Can't wait to see how this evolves.

Interesting blend: 74% syr, 16% CS, and the remaining 10% is split between merlot, PV, sangio, CF, grenache, viognier, sauv bl and semillion. Result is a complex showing of ripe, rich red fruits with great depth and length. Decanted about three hours and it practically doubled in weight each hour. Would allow up to six if I opened another soon, which I won't. Excellent now with a bright future. Note to self: buy more Jonata.

Tasted at winery. Not a fan of this pinot. Has an unusually dark purple color and a wierd flavor. Not having this again.

2011 Patz & Hall Pinot Noir Hyde Vineyard Carneros
Clear, transparent cherry color. Delicate slight red berry aromas. Quite delicate on the tongue. Some hint of cherry fruit, but, make no mistake this is wine—not cough syrup. So, Meiomi lovers need not apply. Maybe some bitter chocolate, some tar. Good refreshing acid. Pretty sophisticated wine.

Drank with Dad, Mom, and Greg in Saint Louis.

The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Fast. It smells like Black currant (cassis), and Stoniness. It tastes like Blackberry, Mineral, and Cedar. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Round texture. The wine finishes Medium.

Lemon, mineral, nectarine, mint. Closed when opened, needs a good hour to open up. May be better next day. A good price at Costco for a Mersault. Very young needs time to msture

6/30/13, 6:31 PM - The guy who sold it, really oversold it. Needs time, but had one bottle, it's on the bottle notes, but disappointing for Costco
