Very old. Deep golden color and pronounced fruit but very little acid to cut through the sweetness

Pineapple. Lychee, green apple, oranges. Straw color. Remember having a previous bottle that was less than stellar.

One of the best pinots I have had in awhile. At $40, it seems like a bargain versus others. Did not know of it’s origin being tied to Jonata, where I was lucky enough to find at Costco 4 yrs ago.

Bursting with strawberries, cherries, violets, smoke and pepper, the acid stands up to the wine making it age worthy. But why wait and have a chance of losing this fruit forward wine just to be smooth.

I’ll take the fruit.

Nice nose of tobacco, smoke and dark cherry. But on first taste a wine 9 yrs old, very acidic. Nice balance of tannins still remain.
Some floral notes too

One of the best pinots I had in awhile. Light in color but fantastic nose, mineral, strawberry, herbal, I thought Sage, but maybe it was what I was grilling at the time. On the taste great finish with incredible acidity and just enough tannin is to balance.
Saw this wine a few years back in Los Angeles, and the wine store didn’t have a shipping box, so I went tin the source

Light color, but for a 2015, no fruit or limited nose. Maybe I’m used to more expensive things

Boysenberry, cassis, toast, floral, pepper. Great fruit forward with some tannins still present. The drinking window says 2022, but I say longer, depending on how long you want to stay fruit forward.
Have 2 more to try to see

At 8 years lots of fruit, strawberries, boysenberry, plum, floral, tobacco, garnet color, great finish. Drank side by side with a ‘14 aloxe corton and the Belle Glos is so much better.

Tasted at the winery back in 2017, thought it had great potential. Now tasted side by side with a Napa Pinot from 2012, and the 2012 had more fruit and nose than the Aloxe corton. The burgundy was flat with no nose or fruit.
I big disappointment waiting 3 years.

had dinner with 2 winderlea wines
‘14 winderlea legacy
‘15 imprint
The 14 had great fruit and nose, with acid and tannins
The 15 lacked fruit and nose.
As a club member I have had many winderlea wines all with great results

Vanilla, spice, cedar, some red fruit. Good mouth feel. Bought like 3 yrs ago at Costco, put away and forgot about be it.
Some smoke. We did not decant as others have mentioned.
Swirled glass for a full minute to get some results.
Too much acid on the back end.

May mellow in 2 more yrs.

found this wine in a small store in LA and the store mgr said it would be great. It is great and glad I bought more than 1. great fruit forward, not in for the long haul, but does need another 2-3 years to knock out the tannins. at price point that puts it with the top dogs, Farm should be soon a great label

Tasted at the Drouhin estate back last August, and liked it, but with 2 reviews in, had my doubts.
For a wine that is 6 yrs old, there is no fruit.

Consistently good. A bit more polished than 1 year ago. Went to the same wine store in CA about 1 month ago looking for more only to find a grenache.
May need to join a wine club on this one.
Had dinner with someone who has a huge cellar. His choice a 07 Pontet-canet.
