There is a whole lot of wine in this wine. Probably best to open it an hour in advance if possible. Beautiful as it is now, this will likely improve in 5 years.

a beautiful wine, but needs much more time to resolve itself. Good acidity. Significantly sweeter and darker in color than the 85, which we drank a week prior. Unlike other Huets I have tried, this particular wine will not be compatible with a wide range of savory foods. Best to pair this with dessert or foie gras.

Wow, what a beautiful wine. Classic nebbiolo profile of violet and earth. Structure is very much intact as this wine enters its 34th year. That said, I don't think it's getting any better. Drink up if you were lucky enough to get any.

Very good quality for the price. Drinking beautifully right now but could probably stand another year or two in the cellar. Silky and smooth. Not overextracted or too alcoholic, like so much of the St. Joseph these days.

Opened one hour in advance of drinking. Beautiful secondary aromas present. Structure was initially good. Afraid I must report, however, that after a half hour or so the wine began to come apart. In retrospect, I should have popped and poured. Will do exactly that with my second bottle. Drink up if you have any.
