A big-boy Grenache. Full body, dark blackberry fruit, 30 sec. finish. Very balanced- smooth tannins.

Drank on world wide Grenach appreciation day 2020. Immediately approachable-- fruity, round and rich. A pinot in disguise? Day 2 even better.

Very dark fruit nose- some wood; less fruit- lost of wood on tasting- long but undistinguished on finish; may denefit on aging

As with 2005 consumed yesterday, this Durrell has largely gone over the hill- lost virtually any fruit in the nose or pallet. Basiccally rather a cooked, flat profile with a short finish.
