It was good. Subtly sweet, but mostly dry. I would drink it again. Of course, did consume it on the back of a dusty, leathery, petite Verdot.

Had this wine at a restaurant without decanting. Great CDP at this retail price point. Nice flavors and balance, but the finish is... interesting.

Getting better as time progresses. I can't stress enough the need to perform the MD shake.

Decanted for 1 hour before consuming. Excellent balance, structure, and flavors. Possibly worth the high price tag and I'm happy I purchased more than one bottle.

Typical Orin Swift with lots of fruit and heat. Certainly drinkable, but I wouldn't buy this again for the usual asking price.

Good with decent structure after having a chance to breathe. We purchased and consumed at a restaurant. We didn't decant, but it would've benefitted from it. More fruit than i typically prefer, but my wife really enjoyed it.

The easiest drinking grappa I've had by far. Mild nose and taste in comparison to others, but the same result in the end.

Drank this immediately after finishing a Taylor Lane vineyard bottle. The wines share similar traits of big fruit, mild tannins, and oak. IMO, this version edged out Taylor Lane in complexity and overall balance. However, Las Alturas has a large amount of smokey oak, which may be too much for some. The oak will lessen over a couple of hours.

Big fruit, oak, bit of acid, and low tannins. Drinks similar a very light cab, not what I would consider a typical Pinot Noir. High QPR considering the very affordable price for this bottle, and much better than this wine's sibling, Meiomi.

Does not drink like a typical Napa cab, but more like a Napa red zin. Fruity with a bit of heat. High alcohol for a cab IMO at 15.5%. Like other Orin Swifts, it's a moderate price and very drinkable. However, unlike some of the others, I'm not sure I would buy this one again, despite cab being my wine of choice. I will wait on my last remaining bottle to see if it improves, but I do not have high hopes for improvement.

Having tasted other cabs by Paul Hobbs, I was somewhat disappointed by this one. I would still consider this wine good, but not great. It's a typical California cab around this price range, with fruit forward flavors and heavy oak. However, I felt the flavors were clumsy, disjointed, and missed some desired complexity. It improved after an hour of decanting, but I wouldn't expect more progress for longer decants.

Berry flavors, fairly balanced, and medium tannins. Rather fruity for a wine in this price range, but not excessive. I would drink this again if the opportunity presents itself.

WOTN at a Spanish wine tasting at a local wine shop. Dark fruits, good structure, moderate tannins, but nice mouth feel. Very nice. Liked it enough to buy some for home.

Good, drinkable blend. However, the high Merlot content seems to weaken the wine for my pallet. It doesn't have the complexity and structure that Palazzo's 100% Cab Franc has. I would recommend this wine for someone that prefers Merlot, but is looking to explore to other varietals and flavors.

Good Napa cab with the flavors you would expect, but not with the typical boldness. Smooth and nicely balanced. It has just enough acidity and tannins to make it interesting to drink, but not enough to expect large improvements over the next few years.

Okay Shiraz, but not as great as the others reviews say, in my opinion. It's fruity, but not a total fruit bomb. Some acidity and heat when first popped, but the acid dissipates over time. The one thing missing is structure, which would make it the $40 bottle. Without it, the wine is a decent drinkable wine, but remains somewhat sloppy, unbalanced, and lacking complexity. I finished this bottle, but I will not be buying more.

Decanted for 1.5 hours. Tannins were fairly strong at first when opening, but quickly mellowed out once decanted. Notes of vanilla and oak, like others mentioned. However I disagree about the vanilla being excessive. This wine has nice acidity, structure, and balance. It held up easily with a ribeye steak. I will probably give my other bottles at least another 6 months to a year, but it drinks very nice with decanting now.

Dark purple in color. Performed MD shake on this bottle, which made a noticeable improvement. Then decanted for another 2+ hours. Notes of licorice, black fruits, and blueberries on nose and pallet. Lovely mouthfeel and moderate acidity. Wonderful wine that I expect to improve over the next few years.

This is my second bottle of this wine, a few months after the previous bottle. Unlike the las bottle that was pop and poured, I decanted this one for an hour. This wine is incredible, possibly my favorite pinot noir. Incredible notes on the nose and pallet, lovely mouthfeel, and wonderful finish. The hour decant helped, causing me to give this bottle an extra point.

Small tasting at a friend's place. Notes of mango and citrus. Not typically a white wine fan due to sweetness, but I really enjoyed the sample of this. Already have one bottle at home, but may buy a few more now.

Olives, tar, licorice, and black fruits on the nose. Found it similar on the tongue. Tannins were mellowed.

Perhaps the bottle was flawed or cooked (purchased and consumed in St Lucia), but I did not share the positive opinions the others posted here. I found it very unpleasing, virtually undrinkable. My wife shared the opinion and we easily agreed to pour it out.
