Complex nose of garrigue/fynbos, lavender, smoked meats, spice and dark fruits. On the palate, well balanced wine with more dark fruit, meat and spice on the palate. Fine tannins and a lingering aftertaste - you could age this longer but it's pretty good at the moment. I would swear this was aged Chateuneuf-du-Pape if served blind, not Swartland (great effort by Eden Sadie). A fantastic wine that's in a really good place now

Dark purple colour. Cassis and menthol on nose with nice oak/cedary notes in background. Palate lacks fruit concentration. Firm tannins but short aftertaste, fruit not holding up. Liked the wine but hoping there'll be improvement over time as the tannins soften.

Light red colour. Soft nose of strawberries, developed later on to show earthy, savoury characters. Quality fruit on the palate with oak in a supporting role. A delicate wine with soft tannins and reasonably long aftertaste. A very enjoyable wine to drink.

Beautiful ruby colour. Intense nose of red and black fruits with nice oak and secondary character in the background. Wonderfully balanced palate with great fruit and round, soft tannins. Very long aftertaste. One of my favourite South African producers, again delivering a very memorable wine. This wine still has lots of life ahead, however something drinking this well right now should not be hidden away.

Deep red colour. Spice, leather, plum and subtle savoury aromas on the nose but prominent oak. On the palate, pure dark fruit with hint of spice and again subtle savoury flavours. Solid tannin structure and good line of acid provides good ageing potential. At this stage there is too much oak evident - hopefully in time it will all integrate and provide a memorable drinking experience. Enjoyable to drink now, however I will let this one sit for at least another 2-3 years.

Nice deep red colour with slight fading at the edges. Menthol, black and red fruits with well judged oak and nice secondary characters coming through on the nose. Palate was a bit disappointing and let the wine down. Nice line of acidity and soft tannins but lacking fruit and thus not quite balanced. Enjoyable wine to drink but not greatly stimulating, I suspect its peak was probably 2-3 years ago.
