An abundance of dried fruit but also a racy acidity and some grippy tannins. Good orange wine that works great with food. Will probably buy some more.

Great Barolo with nice depth, rather dark fruit and some undervegetation. Acidity is nice for a warm vintage and tannins are chewy but also slightly dry.

New producer for me and unfortunately I will probably not buy more from them. The wine is a Syrah from Saint Joseph which is a good start. Unfortunately the barnyard notes are too apparent and the fruit is mainly tart. After a couple of hours it does improve and start showing a more diverse profile, but still not enough to convince me.

I have tried this wine before and that time I was not very impressed and suspect that the bottle was slightly faulty. This time it was a much better experience but I still struggle with my impressions. The wine has an abundance of character and personality with dense fruit notes and some chewy tannins but also some quite strong chemical notes on the nose. Will have to taste a few more vintages before making my mind up:)

This Rivella Serafino is the best Barbaresco 2014 I have had so far! The others have been quite mixed in quality but this is just amazing. Everything is in great balance but still it is quite forward and fun. Definitely a producer to keep an eye on!

Unfortunately the nose is very dominated by oak and smoke. On the palate the fruit comes through better and we get a nice acidity.

Some quality Barbaresco from Neive. Fantastic fruit notes on nose and palate but unfortunately some the finish is slightly dominated by alcohol. Still a very good wine but I would pair it with food!

Impressive nose with roses, cherries, leather and some oil paint but on the palate I did not find it to be in great balance. With some food it was still a very good wine.

Rather slim style and not very fruit driven. Tannins are very fine grained and careful. Slightly hollow now but if that filled out is will be a great wine. Energetic and fresh.

The wine has a fruit driven expression dominated by red fruit, but also with balsamic notes and some menthol. The acidity is vibrant and tannins are fine grained but rather grippy.
I would wait several years before opening more bottles since the tannins and acidity can get slightly tough in the finish. Still the potential seems great and I think it could develop more depth and complexity with time.

The Birichino Pinot Noir Antle promises much on the nose but it dies on the palate where the fruit is not enough to balance the acidity and we get some green notes. It feels like the fruit was slightly unripe.

The Keller Spätburgunder Trocken 'S' had nice red fruit notes but was very slim and dominated by the acidity. In the finish we are left with a clear smokiness. The wine is much slimmer than what I expected for the vintage and honesty I was hoping for more with this wine.

This is a great wine that is both challenging with dark minerals and firm tannins and elegant with flowers and beautiful balsamic notes. The nose is dense with notes of oil pain, leather and dark fruit but also some floral notes appear after a while. The palate continues in the same style initially but then a beautiful acidity changes the character and despite the rather tannic structure we get a fresh energetic finish with some red fruit notes from wild strawberries.
The wine improved significantly day two and if I had more bottles I would keep them.

The expression is fresh and citric but also with some tropical fruit on the palate and notes of oak both on nose and in the finish. Personally I would like less oak influence but this is a good quality wine that probably will improve with age.

Vietti was more extravagant with dried rose petals, some sweetness and mushrooms. This wine should not be stored much longer.

Have not been impressed by Barolo 2013 so far but this wine definitely showed me that there are great wines to be found in this vintage.
Floral and herbal in the beginning but more bright red fruit on the palate. Nice tannic bite and acidity in the finish.

Initially I was disappointed because of the lack of acidity but with food the wine showed some qualities with ripe yellow apples and hints of ginger and calvados. I would not save this wine.

Had high expectations on this wine after reading several recommendations, but I have to say I was disappointed. Maybe I am not able to recognise the future potential but for me this wine is not in balance. There are some nice features, especially the fruit on the nose, but the wine also has an abundance of dark minerals, iron and licorice that gets rather dominant. The acidity and tannins are harsh at the moment but will probably improve with time. Do not try this wine without food, and I would wait several years before opening another bottle.

I probably should have waited a few more years with this bottle. It does show rather classical Barolo notes with roses, leather and tar. The fruit is restrained, almost only dark and dominated by cherry pits. Today the acidity and tannins get slightly harsh and the finish of the wine is slightly dry.

This great Riesling is already very approachable. Dense nose with an abundance of tropical fruit, some floral notes but also petroleum and ripe pears. Acidity feels rather restrained initially but then gets rather juicy, citric and mouthwatering in the finish. I have a few more bottles and will probably open them within the next few years.

It was not possible to stop drinking this wine and the bottle was gone in no time.
Both nose and palate has an abundance of apple, pears, white flowers and honey. Initially we get a careful and soft tingling acidity, which in the finish takes a more dominant role. The residual sugar does make the wine very approachable but it never gets unbalanced. If I had more bottles they would be opened shortly.

This wine was very dense, close to thick, with a juicy profile initially dominated by ripe black currant and later with more blueberries and violet. Luckily the acidity is enough to create a fresh and focused finish and there are some tannins that add attitude. I had higher expectations considering the producer but still this is a very nice wine.

Probably typical for a 2015 with a generous and fruity profile but also with a good acidity and freshness.
Rater dark fruit with blueberries but also some raspberries with a slightly sweet tone. The oak comes through with some smoke, but it never gets dominant. This is a great wine for the level, and from a consistent producer, but I will not keep the rest of my bottles for too long.

The nose has an abundance of fresh red berries, but also notes of solvent and initially some barnyard. The palate shows intense and juicy raspberries combined with a energetic and precise acidity. Tannins are grippy but fine grained. All in all a pleasant and fresh Nebbiolo but it lacks depth and complexity.

Dense and rather ripe fruit, oil paint and some marzipan on the nose. Initially rather fresh on the palate and with mainly red fruit but then some darker fruit takes over and also some more denseness. In the finish the acidity becomes very citric and some slightly dry tannins appear. Strong character but I lack some finesse in this wine.

Not super impressed with this wine. It feels clumsy and lacks balance. Still the nose was rather nice with iron, tobacco and strawberries in an interesting mix. On the palate the iron and some dark minerals initially dominates but then a rather harsh acidity takes over, resulting in a tart finish. The notes are in general rather dark and I think the oak treatment has added to that impression.

I have tasted their Les Graviers and my initial impression of their style is: Rather forward style with notes of oak, popcorn and apples on both nose and palate. The acidity is and explosion of fresh lime and lemon and saves an otherwise slightly unfocused wine.
