Drank in a restaurant for $48. The wine was dull and had no flavor. The table agreed that the wine was not very good, not bad but not good. I have enjoyed this wine on other occasions. Is this another case of bottle inconsistency. I find that this is an issue not often discussed. Or is my palette inconsistent.

2/1/13, 9:00 AM - I have found a little inconsistency between bottles on the Bila-Haut. At first I thought it was me, but TW noted the same thing. Then I thought it might be from different stores, I've bought it at a couple of places. But I have found a difference in bottles from the same case.

It's a decent daily drinker and the price is right, I wouldn't NOT drink it, but it is puzzling.

Not as good as I remember from last time. Again, not showing much on the nose. The palate is medium-to-full bodied, but noticeably lacks the richness, depth and complexity of my previous bottle. Pleasant flavors of herbs, earth, spice and dark fruit lead to a moderately long, smoky finish. Not bad at all, just not as good as I remember. Still have almost a case of this remaining so there is plenty of opportunity for redemption.

1/6/13, 2:22 PM - I have found this to be inconsistent even within a case. Sometimes it's great other times just Ok. Even with that, still a great qpr and a good daily drinker.
