Very good acidity, smooth tannins, medium to full bodied, oak is well integrated, good mid-palate. Black and blue berries with a little bit of that apple flavor I sometimes get from zin. A bit of spice such as cloves and some tobacco coming through. Pretty explosive flavor but not over the top, and a nice long finish. This wine has definitely entered its drinking window, but is very tightly wound and definitely has a few good years left ahead of it. Went very well with the flank steak (and the kale!) 94
