Little fruit on the nose and palate, wet mud/clay, cleaning solution, and too acidic on the palate. This is my second time trying this wine, a year apart, and unfortunately it has stayed exactly the same....

Opens with big juicy aromas of blueberries, cherry nibs, blackberry jam, dark chocolate and eucalyptus.
On the palate, it is rich and powerful with lots of smooth tannin and acidity in harmony with the ripe fruit flavours. Hints of charred smoked meat, black pepper, and cough syrup round out the profile with a long and lingering finish

An initial wave of toasted nuts, brioche, and hot sauna rocks hits the nose, supported by citrus notes of grapefruit and lemon peel and spicy ginger. It is clean and precise, and with some time in the glass the ripeness of the vintage starts to shine with further aromas of pear, peach, and passionfruit dusted with icing sugar coming through.
On the palate, the same citrus and tropical fruit dances and bitter notes of citrus peel firmly make their presence known. The extra brut dosage is apparent in the powerful acidity that tingles the tongue with a very fine mousse and an outstanding dry finish that lasts easily for over a minute. Big and powerful yet fine and precise.

White - Sparkling
Deep gold colour with lots of fizz upon pouring that quickly died in the glass. Lots going on aroma wise with fresh mushroom, peanut brittle, cellar funk, dried fruits (apricot and pineapple), caramel, and a finish reminiscent of Sauternes. Soft bubbles still present on the tongue and enough acidity to keep it from being flabby. I’m sure it was a few years past it’s prime but was still a fantastic wine experience to enjoy!

Showing lots earthy flavours of soil, bark, roasted coffee, and leather with underripe blackberry and blueberry coming out from behind. Lacking some balance at this point and it’s not drinking at the level I expect from this producer. Still enjoyable but a little disappointing.
Upon opening the wine showed some nice stewed fruit aromas, and developed aromas of dirt, stone, cedar, oak, and smoke. on the palate there is ample acidity and the tannins are very fine but still present. Great wine with a meal or just some cheese and meats or even just to sip on.

Nice ripe red fruit on the nose, raspberry, fig, pastry almost like a raspberry crumble, vanilla spice, minerality, earth, smoke.
Med+ tannins and acidity, med body and finish. More oak on the palate than on the nose.
Good quality wine which can take a few more years in the bottle or enjoy it now!

Pale ruby/garnet colour
On the nose - ripe and cooked red fruit or strawberry and raspberry, mint, allspice, vanilla, some smoke
On the palate - little less fruit than on the nose, medium acidity, tannins, body, med+ alcohol, and a med+ finish.
Very fine integrated tannins, good balance, drink it now as I think its on its way down.
