This is what you call a gem. Discovered in Umbrië. Fuccelli is a very small producer of wonderfull wines. Their white Grechetto is a strong, medium bodied wine, perfect balance between acids and fruit, soft and suede. What can you expect more?

I bought this 2 weeks ago. At the wineshop it was perfectly integrated, soft, suede, full bodied.
After opening the wine was very nervous, a lot of stuff yelled for attention. This cooled down after a while but never reached the point of total integration as I tasted at the wineshop. This still needs time. Open it a day upfront or else leave the bottle in the cellar. But it really is a beauty at a wonderfull qpr.

Not fully integrated. Tannins are saying that it has some room for improvement. The fruit brings a good balance.

Popped and poured. At the start a bit hard in the mouth. After half an hour it siftened down. Dark blue fruit, suede, full bodied. Fully integrated and probably at its prime. Beautifull wine.

Popped and poured. It started with youthfull fruit. After an hour the fruit faded and wood and tannins dominated. The longer the bottle was open the more the fruit came back. Eventually everything fell into its place. Beautifull wine.

Opened 2 hours before drinking. At the start closed but after another hour it started to open. Well integrated sweet blue fruit, vanilla, soft and silky, medium bodied, medium finish.

Popped and poured. In the nose strawberries and cigar. The palate shows red and blue fruit and tannins, not yet fully integrated, a little bit syrupy but also granular. Good but still to early.

Beautifull dark red colour. A nose full of dark red fruit. At the start the palate was closed but after an hour it started to open. An amazing dark red fruit bomb, full bodied, soft suede, soft well hidden tannins. Great qpr.
